What vehicle did your Fit replace?
The Fit replaced ...
A 2012 Fiat 500. The Fiat was totaled by a drunk driver who hit me in the back end at 45 mph while I was sitting at a red light. I love the Fit's versatility and the content for the money. I miss the Fiat though. I did not see myself coming and going all day long in triple coat red. I see Modern Steel Metallic Fits everywhere. In the Fiat, especially in the first two years, people would literally flag me down and ask me what kind of car it was and then tell me how cute they thought it was. I do however look forward to road trip adventurers in the Fit. The Fiat was space challenged, to say the least.
I'd love to add a picture but don't understand how without the picture being hosted on a server. I see no add picture edit button.

2001 Civic EX coupe. Had planned to run it into the ground so I had just done the timing belt and pump service a couple months back. At 114k miles it was totalled two days before Thanksgiving. A 2 day old WOP EX 6MT now resides in our drive.
03 civic 2 door 5-speed.. I didn't do much to it besides change the sound system, needed something with 4 door since I got married and we are attempting to have kids. Saw the 07 Fit sport and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was in my price range.. I absolutely love it! I've spent more money on upgrades for this car then my last 2 combined, I forgot how much fun it was (and expensive) haha
1996 Toyota Tacoma P/U truck, 4 cyl w/auto tranny. Bought it used in 1999 with 36,000 miles on it. Still have it, 198,000, it's kind of a rattletrap now but still runs good. Funny thing, I drove stick shift cars all my life until we got the truck, then drove it 14 years until we got the Fit this year. Fit has 5MT, so had to "re-learn" to drive a stick again. Felt strange at first, but have gotten used to it.
2000 crv
My CRV was amazingly reliable. It took 14 years of Chicago traffic and salt laden winters with gusto. However the repairs got more and more expensive. Having moved to California I was putting many more miles on it. The salt had eaten the undercarriage to the point my mechanic said it was time for her to go. I stuck with Honda as I had such a great experience with the CRV. However the current CRV had grown too much in size and price and no longer had a manual transmission option. The Fit had all I desired at the right price.
Traded in a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited. Lifted, 35" tires, side rails, 17" Mickey Alloys, etc. and less than 70k miles.
It only got about 17 mpg and was going to need all new shocks, brakes, and some minor body/rust repair. Trade covered almost 80% cost for the Fit and what I would have spent to fix/update the Jeep almost got the rest.
Getting over 40mpg most of the time now feels great. Don't miss the Jeep at all.

I was looking to replace my CRV with a vehicle of similar cargo hauling capability, but also a vehicle with better fuel economy. We were wanting to hold off until the release of the HRV but could not longer wait and decided on a '15 Fit EX Manual. So far, we're happy with our decision! Although with only 28 miles, I have already noticed some condensation in the headlamps.
Also a new member here, as of last night (when I bought the crystal black 2015 Fit LX manual transmission).
We replaced a 2008 Saturn Astra. I liked that car, but you just know when it's time.
We took it on an extended test drive (and I do mean extended... 85 miles) yesterday and got 43 mpg. Took a little back-and-forth, and I did quite a lot of research in the days beforehand, especially in the differences between the LX and EX... now we are happy owners.
Looking forward to being part of this community!

I've been lusting after a BRZ and waiting to see if Subaru gives it a bit more power with a turbo or something. What made you choose the FRS over the BRZ?
I had a Pontiac Solstice with the turbo for a few years. 260 hp stock and then GM released an ECU reflash that bumped it to 290 hp. A few other little mods and that thing was scary fast.
The FRS and BRZ remind me of the Datsun 240Z. My Dad had one of those when I was a kid. When I saw the BRZ I couldn't wait to get one. Then I test drove it and it's just way too slow for something that looks that good and costs that much.
