Would you by any chance know what brand used in the tranny? I changed my 2015
MT oil with Honda OEM but it still feels like the synchros are bad, or at the very least not so smooth shifting.(60K miles).

According to the part number they show, they used two quarts of the Genuine Honda Fluid 08798-9031. Reading the Amazon reviews on this product, it had about 96% very good ratings with about 1800 reviews, many saying how much better it shifted compared to other fluids they've tried. Sorry, but that's all I can tell ya.

They both had big black marks but one had it with a big bulging bubble. When it gets dark, I'll take a ride with the new ones to see how much better they are. The bulb on the passenger side was about to drive me nuts because it was much harder for me to put back together. I couldn't see what I was doing.

Although I really like my 2015 Fit I bought in June of 2014, if the time comes for a financially responsible car upgrade, I'd consider another manual but with more safety features. Something like the Golf GTI. I'd sure lean towards another hatchback. Sedans just don't do it for me in looks and being practical. Still, right now it's wishful thinking and in the meantime, I'll enjoy my paid off a long time ago Fit that I still very much enjoy driving. Sure like the Corolla GR base, but too rough of a suspension to be practical and the road noise is for the more sporty people. The Civic R is sure nice but too racy looking for my taste. Anyway, it's fun exploring the options.

Oh, I added a Rexing dash cam with front and back camera. Too many crazy drivers out there and I wanted some 'witness protection' added. Rexing reviews by truckers were positive and mentioned how they last so long compared to others that had major names and higher cost.
What make and model headlights did you buy?

My headlights are also still working after over ten years. From what I've heard, the brighter the headlights, the more often you have to replace them. I don' know why it has to be so difficult to replace the headlights on most cars. It's just a lightbulb. Couldn't they come up with a simple way to remove one and install another?

I also bought my Fit in 2014, and it has a little over 90,000 miles on it. I have the CVT, and I change the fluid every 35,000 miles. Front and rear dashcams are almost a no-brainer at this point. I can see them becoming standard or an option in the near future. Instead of costing $100 or less, like online cameras, car makers will be charging close to a thousand for replacements. If they can get away with charging $350 for a key, the sky's the limit for a "camera."

I tried to look up the cost of a backup camera. Not surprisingly, Honda does not call it either a backup camera or a camera. A search for either turned up nothing.

New Owner and what’s done so far

Hey all, long time lurker first time poster.
I got a 2020 Honda Fit EX that already came with a few things.
Car came with:
1. OEM Honda all weather floor mats front, back and cargo
2. 70mai car dashcam
3. New 185/55R16 LandSpider G/P Citytraxx tires and completely black engine oil

As this is the new daily/family car to replace my ‘19 Mustang, I did a few maintenance and interior things like an oil change with Fumoto drain plug and K&N drop in filter. Got some seat grocery hooks, seat protectors, broadway mirror and new wiper blades. Upgraded the stock halogen headlights and fogs and lastly a phone holder, the blue on the front seat covers surprisingly matches well with the blue of the car.

I plan to maybe lower it with some Megan racing springs and get some aftermarket wheels and tires. I’m thinking Kansei KNP’s in 15inch and Accelera PHI R tires in 205/50R15 as I have these for my Mustang and they grip the road pretty well for all seasons.

Very good! The 2020 is a considerable improvement over the 2015.

Made it to work in Kansas City.

The parking lots full of trucks, and there's my Fit. So proud of her! Only got stuck three times.

It's ABS chrome but the car is dirty with salt spray.

What I Did Today. (February 7, 2025)

Oil change at my locally trusted Honda Dealer.

Rotated the Yokohama Avid Ascend GT tires at my local Discount Tire shop.

I don't think we've seen that much snow, this year and last year combined. I need to get some sort of quick-disconnects so I can switch my Blizzaks on and off as-needed.

Wow! At first glance, I thought that was my neighborhood, except for the snow.

I did a dot 3 flush—brakes and clutch! The bleed process is super easy on our car. It was infuriating to get to the bleeder valve past the coolant reservoir, but I got over it. Most noticeable change of any service I’ve done so far!!! The clutch engagement feels otherworldly compared to beforehand.

I’m also in a state of severe windowshopping lately. They started making bilstein b14 for our car (or just advertising the GE kit towards us). Anybody with suspension mods?
