even if you go with the T1R kit, can't you get it re-tuned before you have to get it smog so you pass?... prolly have to take the b-pipe and exhaust off before too

The HKS F-Con IS has a re-learn and self-correction feature. Even if you can't tune it, at least you know that the IS is keep your AFR safe.

you still need the HKS control unit and some pressure sensor in order to work all of the function, such as oil and fuel pressure, boost, etc
however, some function such as rpm, water temp, rev, ignition is working automatically because the F-con is is reading those datas from ECU (thru Diagnostic port from the car). the picture is showing 1 of 3 map view available.

in order for u to view this display while listening to music is depend of your head unit. in case of mine (Pioneer AVH-P6850), i am able to listen CD while displaying the F-Con display by setting my wallpaper to Video in (F-Con display input). its cool to keep your dashboard clean from all those manual gauges.

btw, the display also work with warning signal. the green bar on the left will turn to yellow and red for warning signal. the other thingsm is that you can monitor the ignition timing (Can retard up to -5) & Injector Point output (up to 100%, of course with red warning) in Live (real time) mode.

in regards of retune the F-Con, its has a dipswitch that offer the option to add/reduce fuel and advance/retard timing (4 option each) for overall map.

overall, F-Con is the coolest piggyback hence without user-programming abilty

I can't wait. I'm wondering if 10w30 synthetic would be acceptable for oil. This 5w20 is like water.

Froogle my friend and you shall find

HKS Part Number:
11001-BH002

HKS USA Bolt-On Turbo Kit

On another semi thread related subject: I'm not liking car payments. Iv'e been paying more than minimum with no problems but I'm not sure I want to keep the Fit. Don't get me wrong, it's nice, versatile, and great with gas but I have never bought a NEW car. As it currently stands, it is worth more than I owe and if I were to install this kit would the car last? I'm too undecided on this one and don't want extra debt. I think I would rather go back to what Iv'e always done, buy something cheap and build it... I miss my 240 But I don't miss the horrible transmission, poached junk yards (motor swap shops are bastards), and expensive everything.

The Fit will never be FAST but could be very fun to drive with that little extra ass added to it with a turbocharger. My plans were for a custom 50mm piping and muffler painted black and the HKS kit installed with intercooler and piping blacked as well. Any opinions?

It looks like the intercooler can be installed without removing the plastic grilling from the front bumper. I agree with the idea of black piping and a very light coat on the intercooler too. Any plans for your muffler? I have found a magnaflow muffler that might work but the problem with that is finding a competent muffler shop to do it right.

yea i know what u mean i hate my car payment to. And not sure if i want to get in more debt with a turbo kit right now. But with the HKS it would make the Fit a more fun DD not fast but maybe quick. And yes paint it all balck for a stealth look that is what i would do. But my last car was a evo and not sure if i want another turbo car as of right now expensive is all i can say if anything goes wrong. I am geting a bike in Nov so i will see if that should hold me over for fun and just keep my Fit as a good DD for now
