$150 to fill a nitrous bottle? Is it a 10lb bottle? It's $4/lb here in Georgia. That would be like $50 CAD. You have a giant bottle or is it that expensive in Canada?

You read that correctly! It's ridiculously high here. I'm not exactly sure why...

as for the rear lexan, I just took these pics to show the curve. Pic 1 shows the flat lexan, pic 2 shows me bending it to fit.

Removed the hatch for repainting, also got an antenna delete in the works.

Nice progress! Can't wait to see that thing on a drag strip and on a scale!

I'm considering a header. You happy with the Weapon R? Do you think you lost any bottom end torque?

Yes once I get this rear hatch finished I'll take it back to the scale. Can still lose another chunk of weight if I save and buy lighter wheels.

Yes I love the weapon r header, besides installing it! Prev owner of mine had it welded into a 1 piece so I had to unfold the sub frame to install, but I managed to do it in my garage on jackstands. No loss in low end, a noticeable boost in mid range and a little up top. I did that with a dc sports catback at the Same time. A tune is really required to take full advantage, which is on my to do list when I can afford. 😂😣

Lots of labour done on this labour day! Got the antenna delete installed, sanded and painted the hatch, it's hinges and the inside frame around the hatch (rust removal and color match to the hatch) Doesn't sound like much on paper but it was a good 6 hrs. Would not have taken me so long if I didn't decide to remove all the urethane glue from around the hatch window frame, but oh well! Good night!

Had the car on the scale again today. I am pretty pumped with the results especially since:

1) car is on 15 lbs OEM wheels
2) had 3/4 tank of gas
3) stock 22 lbs battery was installed, not the 2lb lithium
4) there is no carbon fiber on the car
5) passenger seat and belt still installed
6) full catback still on the car

will reveal the weight in a video soon.🤣

Way lighter than I guessed! Good stuff!

My Fit is going the other way, but I'll try to make up for it with hp.

Next year

You will be in the 1700s for weight! I think you could slip in some high compression pistons and a flex fuel kit and fun e85 plus nitrous and get toward 200hp... good luck!

Shaped, sanded, painted the recirculation cover, riveted it on, sealed....looks better IMO.

Good news, got a new set of street tires on the way. Nankang NS2 in 195 45 15. Not the greatest tire in the world but way better than what is on these GE8 wheels I bought, which also may or may not have passed tech. No slicks or drag radials yet. Now lets see if I can find enough money in the couch to fill my nitrous bottle before next Saturday! If I can, I'll be using an 88 shot. Now with Hondata I can take a few degrees of timing out for more safety. I know people have used 100 shot on stock timing but I don't want to blow the engine....yet. Wait til I get a spare, then I'll test the limits of the stock block.

Why such a low profile/small diameter tire? If I were going to dragrace the Fit on nitrous, I'd want the tallest tire that I could fit in the wheel wells to take away some of the extreme first gear.
