A 110v/15a socket and an extension cord is all the power you need

Since I couldn't make the race on May 26th and I'm going to be away in Japan from the end of June til the beginning of August, I've rescheduled to September 22nd. Hopefully I'll have front suspension, more weight reduction, good tires, lighter wheels by then.

Trimmed the hood even further to 10.8 lbs plus removed the latch hardware for another 2.4 lbs....I get bored easily.

Family trip, so work, lol...naw just kidding, I usually go on the lookout for used Fit parts to resell for cheap depending on what I find, so if you have something in mind let me know. There is an auto recycler about 40 mins from my in laws place, I go 2 or 3 times per trip. 😉

Aesthetically speaking it really cleans up the passenger side engine bay, especially along side the blox EGR delete and A/C removal.

this is might be a bit late but I was wondering what kind of benefits you get from an EGR delete and what else would be required becides the block off plate

Benefits for performance are questionable. I did it for weight reduction and looks. The EGR plates need to have one hole widened just a bit to fit in that second position, when the EGR base is removed as well. Otherwise if you are just removing the EGR part, it will fit fine. Only other parts needed are an 8 mm silicone cap for the coolant nipple at the front of the engine IF you are removing BOTH the EGR and base. Also, some gasket maker around the coolant hole behind the base is good insurance against a leak. You will get an EGR code but it may or may not affect gas mileage.

hey, was wondering where you were! Thanks buddy, it's great having a comfortable daily now...No worries bothering the wife anymore. Happy wife: happy life!

Finishing up the paint on the hood today. Also still waiting mailman to deliver : 5/8" silicone caps for heater core bypass, push button hood pins (which in may end up using on front or rear bumper as they are too short for the hood or hatch, 2 Epman 4 pt racing harnesses as my stock seat belts have locked up.

I also want to start vlogging the progress of the car. I need practice in not rambling on camera tho, lol.

Sweet, thanks! If, and it's a big IF, you find it (IIRC it's unobtanium), I'm only interested in the volume controls/panel and the Bluetooth buttons and associated wiring to adapt on to a Sport wheel. So it could be greatly condensed for packaging. And say "hi" to the local baishunpu for me!

UP Garage for sure! I just found out about them but they have 140 stores across the country selling used car parts, good stuff too. 😁 I'm hoping to hit one up when I'm there.

Almost one redoing the wiring for the nitrous kit. Got a used set of wheels from a 2011 GE8 Fit LX. Racing harnesses should be in Monday. Lexan was shipped out Friday. New blow down tube for the bottle should be here shortly after. 😎

2011 Fit LX wheels. I think these may only be found in Canada. Very much like the 1st gen Insight and some civic wheels. 15 x5.5, made by Enkei. Somewhere in the ballpark ofn15 lbs a piece. Not super light but I like the look and they hide my wilwood brakes for a more sleeper look. They'd make a decent "skinny" for the rear with a set of drag radials up front.

Bought some racing harnesses as both front seat belts locked up when I removed them. These Epman 4 pts are decent quality, bolt in and have the typical seat belt locking front.
Not quite street legal like Takata Drift 2, but 1/5th the price. 😎 Also saves 6.8 lbs over the stock front pair of belts and attachments.

Changed the harness set up a bit for better mounting angles of the shoulder straps. Not ideal but better and until I get a roll cage, nothing will be ideal.

My two sheets of 2x4 lexan (3 mm thickness) arrived. Fund out I'll have enough to do the rear quarter windows too. 😉🤓

New blow down tube and silicone caps to block off the heater core passages arrived today. When packages arrive 3 days in a row, you know it's a good week.

Lexan on the rear doors almost complete! Next up is painting a border along the inside to hide the raw parts of the door so they are not visible from the outside.

Also took the car out for a spin. The wideband does show it running lean with that weapon R intake manifold installed...idles around 15.0. Definitely needs a tune but it hauls pretty well, the new wheels dropped 28 lbs of unsprung weight and its VERY noticeable. I think Hondata and a tune is soon on the menu. Can't wait to install the gutted rear doors and go back to the scales. 😁
