Integra Type-R front disc brake installation
I just did the upgrade with the FastBrakes.com rotors. I ended up having the brackets milled 4mm on the mounting surfaces. This worked out great! The only issue I encountered was having to trim the cooling shields. They rub pretty bad, and bending them doesn't give enough clearance. No testing yet since I finished pretty late, but I'll break in the rotors tomorrow and post my results!
I had to do some creative bending/flattening of the splash guards with pliers to keep it from rubbing the bigger rotors. But it will work, just looks like ass when finished. Meh, can't see it from outside view anyways.
Looking foward to your review...

That one part number is used on several different cars...as you had found out. Thay are all identical...take it off of any of the cars and you will be good to go. The real IRT has 5X114 and not 4X114...
which type of aftermarket caliper would fit (bolt) into my 15" rims et 48
can anyone help ?

I don't know of just a caliper upgrade...there are several manufacturers that make just a disc upgrade though. This thread shows a complete brake upgrade that will fit within a 15” wheel.
with a changing rotors aslo
too bad i've already bought those rotors ...

I'm thinking of trying the 282mm stoptechs with some wilwood dynalite calipers (to keep off the unsprung weight vs the OEM type R calipers).
I know that this mod works on any USDM Fit (GD3 and GE8). I have no way of getting a hold of a GD1 since they were never imported into the US…not a USDM model.
Any Caliper that will fit an Acura Integra Type-R (DC2) will fit the Fit. So if Wilwood makes a direct replacement caliper for the ITR, you can use it.

Not sure if Wilwood make a direct replacement, but I figure these brackets and calipers might just work with the slightly smaller stoptech rotors.

Honda probably used the same caliper for the GD1 and GD3…so, if the GD1 came with 240-mm rotors and the GD3 comes with 262-mm rotors, the 310-mm rotors replace the 262-mm. 310 – 262 = 48-mm. Since the GD1 came with 240-mm, for the caliper to fit, you need 240 + 48 = 288-mm rotors. Since StopTech makes 282-mm rotors, the math is right. 282 will definitely work in lieu of 288. If you can’t make a longer bracket, I’d try it.
