Warranty Repairs
#401
My 2018 Fit Sport has been back to the dealer twice in the first two months I've owned it. The first time was for the driver's side power mirror - no power, mirror was replaced. During that visit I ran it through the dealer's car wash and the car wash ripped off one of the roof moldings. Fixed under warranty. Now I've noticed the rear floor takes on water when it rains... going back to the dealer again - I'll post the resolution.

I just had a spark plug blow through the threads and out of my engine w/50k mi.
I have read several horror stories on the internet of this happening.
Honda is aware of this yet will not grant any good will toward fixing it.
Is this acceptable?
I was quoted $7000+ for a new head $3000+ for a used head and $1200 to helicoil with no guarantee.
What would you do?

lost my power steering 2009 Honda Fit
My 2009 Honda Fit . I was downtown had to go to the local bank. So I parked the car a shut of the motor. When I returned to my car I started it and lost my power steering. My brother took it to Honda dealership and they said it was the module. My brother replaced the module and nothing now he is going to put another motor for the steering. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks John

Low Beam Headlight recall a revisit
Hello all, long time lurker....owned my 2008 FIT sport for about 5 years .......currently 159000 miles.....
Wanted to update you on something that's reared its ugly head again....
Bought this car certified from a dealer.
Had the lowbeam TSB recall done 2/2011. Same issue has arisen.
Dealer says switch was bad, which is possible........but had to redo wiring at crimp done during TSB. (liinky to TSB - https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/201...0V624-9345.pdf )
Currently presenting my case to honda to try to recoup labor on this obvious faulty repair....bill was 780 dollars (before "discount")
Not arguing that the switch may be bad....just arguing the labor involved with repairing an obvious faulty recall repair.....
Will update when I receive notice......
Just wanted to share in case someone has had similar issue.....
