Ya I don't think so either.. unless you are able to somehow trick the ecu with the emanage to think whatever is wrong isn't.

I guess one of the big things will be seeing if the CEL returns without the manifold. If it doesn't I guess the next logical step is having somebody do some custom work on it to increase the EGR port size to match the slot.
Then maybe weld on some rectangular HSS to match and try and replicate the structure on the old manifold.

Shouldn't Weapon-R take responsibility over that? Is this the tested and finalized part that will be sold on shelves?

They say no CEL comes on with thier test car, it is on me to prove it is the manifold. There is a possibility that the old one has somehow damaged my EGR valve by blocking that port for so long.

As much fun as waiting another 6 months for a replacement to arrive sounds, I would like to price out how much it would cost for somebody to modify it first.

My little brother is back from Afganistan at the end of this month, he has a lot of expereince in welding & a lot of time off; so given the access to the equipment he could even do it for me.

That sounds interesting Nick, I definitly want to look at the 2 designs and see where the EGR port matches up to on the head. Perhaps it's off and still partially blocking it.

When I had the hose off I checked by poking in an alan key, it wasn't blocked on the other side. I wonder if there is a reason that port was slotted rather than just circular.

Ben was saying the A/F after installing the manifold was like 14-15 so he added fuel & modifed the timing to prevent detonation.

Sweet.... and boink! 3000 posts

Yeah I realize that, I was just passing along how dramatically it affected the A/F when he swapped it. Should be more like 11.5 for stock.

So... how comfortable are you guys with changing the timing

You should wait to sell until they send you the upgraded ECU, sounds like they are scrapping that supercard idea and sending new parts to everybody.

I think the tiing on that map will be fine and your a/f should be around 13.5 at WOT your car is N/A. A turbo car will usually be more aroun 11.5 to 12.0:1 at WOT for safety reasons.

14.7 is stoic so a bit under than under hard accel on an n/a car is fine.

The emanage piggyback should have the ability to modify timing based on what the ecu tells the car to do.

Yeah but I'd have to send them my ECU for the reflash, so either way someone will need to send in an ECU and it won't be mine since it's stock.

Don't think that would work as they are all programmed for 1 specific car with the immobilizer and all. New Ecu's are no fun

Sorry Nick not gonna take the parking won't be close to where I need to go and will actually take me a bit more time
