Hmmm that kinda sucks.. I think you should've kept the test pipe and put in a wideband. I think its really useful to have since you're running an emanage. And it would be really useful when you install direct port nitrous into your new manifold

Now please do correct me if I am wrong about what I am about to say, but this is something that you might want to get as well. I'm just learning about this and I don't have a full grasp on its capabilities

I'm not sure if this affects you, but it does with my car. The stock ECU keeps the car in "closed loop" until it see's over 70% throttle from what I hear. When the ECU is in "closed loop" it will automatically adjust the AFRs to around 14.5. This means that the emanage can't actually do much until the ECU goes into "open loop" and that I would be leaning out until it goes into "open loop". Problem here is that my car can see up to 4psi of boost before the ECU realizes it and stays in "closed loop". And 4psi of boost with mid 14 AFRs is not good.

I recently bought a Split Second ESC1 signal conditioner, which helps with NA cars that have been boosted, what it does is it will send a signal to the ECU once it see's 1psi of boost and makes the ECU go into open loop so that the emanage can take over. I think the ESC1 can be programmed to work with what you need and could fix some issues that you might be having.

The Split Second ESC1 retails for 209US. I got mine off ebay new from some guy who bought it and never used it, still new in box for 10 bucks

Wow, that is a pretty sweet deal!

I can't use the test pipe anymore because the WR header is so huge replaces the entire cat system all the way to the B-pipe. hehe, nitrous

I will have to either borrow or buy a wideband and then figure out how to some how get a half-baked tune after the install until I can get somebody who knows what they are doing to do a dyno tune on it.

That looks sick, Sugarphreak. I can't wait to see it when it's actually under the hood.

Just thought I'd drop in a quick offer... I'm the Meduim Duty Parts Consultant for Shaw GMC, and may soon be the Assistant Parts Manager (yeah I know, and I have a smart and a Fit, I've heard it all before), and we are the biggest GM Parts Department in all of Canada by sales volume, and have been for a couple of years now.

If any of you guys want cheap supplies (brake cleaner, glass cleaner, hoses, tubing, and most aftermarket replacement parts) I can get you guys a smokin deal on stuff from Central Auto Parts (Auto Value) and also anything from Gregg's Distributors (really huge place... you can get anything useful you can imagine there)

If anyone wants my cell number for emergencies, just shoot me a PM.. I promise I'm a good person to know when you're looking for something

So getting their whole "power package" for the Fit eh. That header looks sick man, can't wait to throw that on!

Hope we can make some decent power with those on. I would really like to have a wideband telling us what your a/f looks like after the install though. We can make some changes to the eManage as needed but without knowing that it's hard to say if your car is runnign safe or not.

Do you know anybody we can borrow from or should I buy one? What about the harness to the E-manage?

Don't worry about the harness to the eManage. Find a wideband and just hook it up the way you normally would. That way you will have realtime info all the time and will be able to catch a lean condition before it blows your engine up if that ever happens.

If you're doing a simple I/H/E setup, I would normally not worry about tuning but once you start getting into the motor more and with 100whp as a goal tuning will be key.

The eManage worries me a bit right now on your car because it's tuned for a specific setup and we're about to change most of it. Mopac sells AEM UEGO widebands for about $260 if you're interested or you can potentially find a better unti online for roughtly the same money.

I used to have an Innovate LC1 with XD-16 gauge and that was a great setup. Got it for $300 all in last year.

I don't have a bung for it because of the WR header, do I need some extra hardware to have it setup at the tailpipe or can we just coat-hanger something together?

I never got my wideband from Justin, I ordered mine online for $200 last November.

I just had it installed this past weekend. I had the bung welded on just after the secondary O2 sensor. It mentioned in the installation instructions that on turbo vehicles you have to have it atleast 36" away from the turbo down the exhaust.

A wideband is a really good investment if you plan on doing any tuning with the emanage. If it was just a few bolt ons without tuning then I'd say you don't need it, but since you have the ultimate I would recommend getting one.

I wouldn't hook up the wideband to the emanage, that is only recommended for a baseline tune to get you started. But since you already have a map made up, you just need to tweak it a little and that can be done without connecting it to the emanage.

Yeah but I have a feeling now that the whole EGR thing is fixed it is totally going to screw with my A/F mixture. People that have gotten the new one are reporting normal A/F levels and no need for correction anymore.

How much to get a bung welded onto my WR header do you figure?

What about a sniffer? How much do those run?

I had my O2 bung welded on for $20 at Crowfoot Brake and Muffler. The AEM UEGO has a bung included in the box.

If your AFRs are all over the place from your tune, it won't take too much to get it running good. Best way to do it is to street tune the car with a wideband installed. This way you can see what rpms and what AFRs you are running..

Sounds like you'll need to run a wideband to check what the A/F is at. More than likely will be needing a new tune as the rates were corrected to 'fix' the EGR issue.

But I also recommend the innovate unit as its a great tool.

So have we figured out a day for install?

We are getting into totally unknown territory for me now

Where to find innovate products? What Kit? Best prices?

Once I get my hands on a wideband we can do the install whenever you guys have time!

Sweet, the header I got already has an extra bung on it

Seems like an odd location, that is for a wideband right?

It looks like the header is also a cat delete? is that right?

If so, there isn't an extra bung on there... You have 2 x O2 sensors on the car, 1 primary one which is located on the header itself, and a secondary one located about 24" down the pipe from the start of the header.

You'll need to get another one installed, either after the secondary or before the flexible resonator on the header.
