I wonder if I can weld a resonator into the B-pipe somewhere?

depends what turbo this was on and how much hp it was making. if it was at 180whp maybe Adam should be scared of it was at 300whp then that little motor was a trooper!

GD3kamiwanabe had the HKS kit. He tuned it to 10psi. Only difference is that he drove his car like he stole it all the time. He has a youtube video posted of his antics. He peels out, continuously tapping the rev limiter and just out right drove it extremely hard all the time. Its no wonder the guy blew his motor tho, it was just a matter of time.

I don't think i've tapped my rev limiter once with my car boosted.. and if i did it was by accident.. not for burning out and show off purposes.

I do believe that new lower compression pistons is a good idea, CP makes a couple sets for our cars.. that'll be a mod that I will do. I want to make sure I keep my motor strong and running for a long time.

I might go back to my 6-8psi of boost tho after seeing that tho. I was at 10psi for a little while in November, and now I have taken it back down to 7-8psi. Maybe I'll even go back to 6psi, I made 170whp at the stock boost level anyways!

I may venture into high levels when/if I ever build up the motor

i think he has roughly 14,000 miles before the addition of the turbo for another 24,000 miles. so a total of somewhere around 40,000 miles.

that seems rather reasonable for as bad as he beat on his car. first the tranny and now the motor. that fit is setting the standard for what it can handle when boosted.

im glad this finally happened. now we know what the fit can handle.

josh has definately driven his car hard 24/7. im really impressed at what the l15 can handle in terms of abuse. he said that even though he had a hole in the block it would still run on three cylinders.

3 cylinders= geo metro status.

That would be sweet, I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out where my copy is!

I think we are using ET's laptop to tune, if you are up that way maybe drop it with him. But I could pick it up from you and return it as well whenever is convenient for you as well.

Good news, although my brother is a lazy bum and didn't send my CD I managed to download the program from an internet site.

I swapped out my Linux laptop for a Windows one this week, it is all loaded up with the Greddy software and latest patches. Greddy tuning is a GO!!

Indeed! Probably no time this weekend though, very busy with the move! Maybe the weekend after?

I have to yank my CAI before the 28th, somebody is coming up to collect the testpipe, header & CAI as a set on that day.

If the new couplers for the SRI don't arrive before then I will have to throw in the stock box for a while. Is pretty straight forward, I can do it in my new garage
