good news, this just went from a recovery to a rescue mission!

Leo has offered to send off a new version of the manifold to me, it looks like they have this EGR thing figured out for sure this time!

ET, you have some time when it comes in to help me put it on?

I also picked up a test pipe with extra bung from Justin a while back which has just been sitting around. I am thinking to install it and have somebody who understands the E-Manage a bit more than me pick out a wideband and maybe spend some time tuning it. Aside from that I am thinking to ditch my faithful Fujita CAI and maybe go with something else that will work better with the manifold, any recommendations?

Oh and top it off, I need a set of ****ing expensive lightweight 16's to suit.

I am back baby!! And dammit, I am determined to blow past that 100hp mark like it is standing still...

For you Nick I'll make time!

Looking forward to installing that and I am sure we can look at the test pipe and wideband install as well. We can also probably see what the car is doing once the wideband is on and make some changes if the E Manage cooperates.

New wheels and tires that weigh less will help a ton. I would not change the intake, I would simply change the filter or clean it out.

Does anyone make a cam and gear for the Fit that would probably wake it right up? Possibly a bigger throttle body and then some dyno time IN CALGARY.

Get it on a dynojet and I think 100whp is possible.

j's racing has a dbw throttle body. it has a 3mm bigger bore to it. no one has a cam or pulley unfortunately. try contacting type on or opak racing to see if they will hook you up with the type one ecu that the spoon fit is running. it helps them put out 122hp with no head work. all they have is balance internals.

Can't wait to see this thing back on the dyno. And 16's for the win !

Type One ECU? What is this?

type one in japan (not to be confused with type 1 racing who makes the turbo kit) is spoon's counterpart company that tunes all their cars. i tried contacting them for an ecu but i never got through but i heard it is somewhere around 400 to 600 dollars for the same tune that the spoon endurance spec fit is running. it would roughly lay down 122hp for you.

lol, I threw it up on the for sale thread... 350$ for both; those two items are at least 700$ before tax and shipping from AJR. I also put the Fujita CAI up there too, of course everything is pending good fitement.

I have to try and cover some of the cost of all this new stuff!!

Of course... if you and ET are helping me install all the new stuff we could even do a better deal than that

Speaking of which, I think we will need an tailpipe wideband on hand after the install to check and make sure the car isn't running too rich or lean. I don't know how hard it is to tweak the E-manage to comphensate until we can dyno tune it later.

shouldnt be too hard as long as we have a laptop with the software and the connecting port to the emanage.

Jon's gonna have trouble resisting this deal here :P

Remember Jon, the civic is still stock...

Congrats,

How does the response feel? I always felt that it kind of felt a little slow right up to about 4000rpm where it takes off... the dyno confirmed that for me.

really?

i can feel it from about 2500rpm and up. i will have to drive again cause i think most of my feeling is the placebo effect of new parts.

i pulls so much better now. i think i have capped the 100hp mark. i will hopefully dyno before my turbo bolts on.

Interesting, what kind of intake are you using right now?

I am looking forward to swapping in the replacement parts on mine to see if it makes any kind of significant difference.

You should try to get the dyno for sure so you have a benchmark before the turbo to compare too!

i definately want to dyno before my turbo but im not sure if that will happen.

so my setup is the t1r pulley, sr20det ngk 2 steps colder than stock plugs, passwordjdm intake, weapon r manifold, i custom built my own 4 to 1 header with the runner lengths adjusted according to the firing order, custom cat delete, stock b-pipe, and spoon n1 exhaust.

i think im breaking 100hp now but i dont have the proof yet.

I have conditionally sold my old parts as a package now, hopefully I have new parts in hand sometime this week. They were transfered to the San-Fran international dispatch facility yesterday. USPS usually sends them through puroilator after that.

It is sounding like the new manifold doesn't lean out with the EGR flow restored, that might play havoc with my A/F ratio.

No, I sold the testpipe... so no wideband bung

I need to borrow a tailpipe one from somebody to wire into the e-manage
