ETC 12 step Adjustable Throttle Controller
Switching it back into normal feels amazing now and sp3 is switched on when i need a little extra quickness...
Ive played with sp8 and 9 but its just silly lol
Well, I just came back from my first test drive using the throttle controller and all I have to say is .... WOW!
I can't believe this is the same car, seriously. I'm not easily impressed after 47 years of building musclecars, new and old, but this mod was one of the biggest transformations I've ever seen in the way a car responds.
It's 9:25pm here ... 99*F with 25% humidity and it feels miserable outside. Even with air density working against engine performance, the change is tremendous. I cannot believe how "granny'd down" this ECU's throttle response was from the factory. Honestly it was OK with colder outside air earlier in the year when I bought it, but now with these triple digit temps, it runs like it's towing a 5000lb trailer. Even running premium fuel.
The ETC16 made a huge difference just at SP2-SP5. I haven't ventured beyond that tonight, but will do so tomorrow. If the electronic components prove reliable over the long-term, I would not hesitate to recommend this. Money well spent IMO. I can't wait to see how it runs later this year in cold weather.

I use the EC4 & SP5 for commuting, depending on traffic patterns. If I'm just bopping around on the weekend, running errands or commuting in light traffic where I can use the cruise control (which I use a lot), I stay in EC4. The higher EC settings are too sluggish for my liking.
If traffic is heavy and I can't use the cruise, I use SP5 with the paddle shifters so that I don't get eaten alive by other aggressive drivers with more power. I use SP7 with the paddle shifters for fun on the twisties and open country/mountain roads. SP7 is as high as I can tolerate - the settings above that are too spastic.
One thing I will say to those specifically seeking $$$ savings and MPG improvement (how much better, for crying out loud?). Don't waste time or money with an ETC. In fact, keep your Fit as close to stock as possible, and focus on buying lightweight low rolling resistance tires, and learn to drive with your throttle inputs. Before I started upgrading my Fit, I was consistently between 38-40 MPG every tank, commuting 550 interstate miles per week. I have yet to install a mod that has improved my MPG number by any significant amount. I used to drive a Civic Hybrid, so I know how to baby the car with the best of 'em and feather the gas to squeeze out the MPG's. Stay stock if you drive like an AARP member.
