::sigh:: A used GReddy piggy back tuner that was set for a 5-10 volt map sensor, the Fit being 0-5 volt and during the install the tuner thought the part was new not used... but these things happen when you start playing around trying to go fast er
Here are the two runs in the FIT from my event on Sunday. The battery died in my phone though so neither of our 59.XXX laps got recorded
Had fun and I owe my co driver a steak dinner for skunking me in my own car! I got down to a 59.4XX and he got to a 59.6XX, but I nudged a cone out of the box in the exit shoot
Ignore the chatter
I also have a photo album up, including the stills from my ConeCarnage on my first run

My next even is this Sat, 10/27

I hope to show up early and troll for both a photographer and an experienced driver to do some ride alongs as I don't think I will have a co driver for this round...

To be perfectly honest my GD1 is still stock mechanically.
Every modification I did to date was made to make sure I can control the car better, hence the Recaros and the Momo steering wheel. Apart from that I just invested in better braking and grip. For a cheapskate racer like me the Michelin Pilot Sport 3s are the best tires I've ever had, and I pair them with ATE/Motul DOT4 fluid and Tanabe brake pads.
After four years of beating on it with trackdays and time attacks, I now have a better idea of what a GD needs to shine on track: more grunt and more springing at the front end. This was the insight I got from pushing the car to its limits and polishing my skill on an untouched daily driver with no power.
My real regret is not having enough seat time. I can't finance the mechanical strain and maintenance dictated by attending more than two trackdays a year.

had a blast at my last event on 10/27. Here is my fastes run from the day, even though it was a scratch at +1

Just ignore the windshield wipers
I removed my rear sub setup this time (turns out it weighs around 70 pounds!?!?) And was finally able to achieve tripod status

I am hoping to get the full hi res photos soon
I was able to get a more experienced co driver who's normal ride is a fully prepared STS Miata to join me and he not only trounced my best time by over a full second but seemed to really enjoy the car as well. Lesson learned, I still need more seat time...
Over all I PAX'd 27th (In front of a '10 GT3

) and the co driver got 12th! Not to bad out of 99 entries and especially considering the number of B and C mod cars there that day.

I wish I had the $$$$ for a lighter set of 15x7.5's but these have been great attention geters for now
Any one have exiting plans for they're 2013 Solo/AutoX Season? I'm planning on attending the west coast national and pro solo events in SoCal

In other news, here's an album with pics from Dixie Match Tour! There were 2 Fits in STF, me piloting the 115 white/red car.
I participate with the BMWCCA Golden Gate chapter. I attended an Evo Phase 1 school at Marina last month. We have a fun runs event scheduled for Candlestick on April 7 (it's sold out) and I'll be bringing the Fit to that. Otherwise I'll be at the regular monthly event at Marina with my 330.
Evo has another phase 1 school in June at Marina and a phase 2 school in July. I haven't decided whether or not to enroll in those yet.
