KWSC Kit Release Ramblings
hes really desperate lol
I am extremely pleased with the kit and the initial results. As for keeping up with other cars i'll have to wait and see them on the road. I did encounter a dodge ram hemi coming to a light that had just turned green( i was in s-mode) dropped it to 1st and blew right past him.
Sorry for appearing really dumb (I am good at that) if the MT has an s-mode as well, but I have never heard of that.
Also, looks like install times are running longer than 4-6 or 8 hour time siggested but OJR, but then again you guys were missing some parts and whatnot, so I am sure that adds, plus you are not at a shop so maybe not watching the clock so much?
I wonder only because I will have mine done at a shop and the fee for 12 hours will certainly be a lot more than for 6!

I'll be running 5# with the injector upgrade package. Working with Mr_ET and JDMish again today to take apart the piping, reinstall the headers, route some gauge wires, put the pipes back in, attach some vacuum hoses, super card, then the injectors and all we will need is those plug and play adapters which I will hopefully pick up tomorrow if UPS isn't going to be retarded. Worst case scenario is we finish up on Wednesday. I can't believe it is gonna rain this week...of all weeks...
mine won't be in till this coming saturday, but when it is...lets just say pedestrians and living road kill of all sorts better look both ways before crossing the street
question for you chris, when you say you'll give us a badge, is it a physical badge that we put on our cars or one to put on our signature?

That's what I've been asking -- so what is the difference between m/t and a/t kit, if someone wedged the m/t kit onto their a/t car. Is it just CARB paperwork, or did he get hooked up with some extra parts due to his situation.

nice! my buddy has a dodge ram 1500 with the hemi...i always joke that i'll be able to smoke him.
so you guys with the regular 5# kit... what say you? does it make the car just right (ala the 3 bears or what!)
cause im not sure what kit some of you guys are rocking... the 5# or the 5# with injectors (which obviously without the cat is way faster then the regular kit)

actually, the additional hp seems to stem from the upgraded injectors...sure the cat delete has an effect, but its not adding more than 5-6 whp. it has a lot more to do with the injectors themselves.
Did everyone get tracking numbers when there kit shipped out? Looks like my CC was charged already, think my kit was supposed to ship out on Friday, but dont have any tracking info on it. Just wanna see what day its supposed to be here.
You'll probably receive it on Wednesday. And no tracking numbers were provided.
Parts List
Oscar,
Do you have a complete parts list for the kit that you can post, so that we can check that we have everything when we receive the kit?
I don't want to start the install unless I know I have it all.

+1 Great Idea
So, this is why there is no high-boost kit for the a/t -- it'll be physically impossible to shovel enough air. I would assume they tried both and chose one or the other for good reasons, though.
C15-16 spins faster, but less air is moved, 0.11kg/s vs 0.18kg/s peak. Probably they will spin the -16 trim harder than the -60 trim for the 5# kit.
If this is the case, though, I'm wondering how this will play out with injector + header upgrades for the a/t crowd.
aren't these numbers, though, indicative of how much each rotrex unit can potentially ADD to the engine? thats what i got from the website. but you are right, even with those numbers 200whp is gonna be hard to get out of a c-15-16. (assuming thats the one being used on the auto..)
C15-60 is listed as 50-200HP, and C15-16 is listed as 30-130HP...

i'm hoping for a real nice low end! i don't really care to much about quarter miles. this is just my dd
thats not to bad! heaven forbid i say this in a kraftwerks thread, but it'd be cool to have rotrex chargers available a la carte, where you tune and build the kit like with t series garretts.
