Yay! Thanks Chris So who's actually rockin' the license plate frame and decals? I was thinking subtle placement, either under a wiper or low on a door or quarter panel.

Everyone with aftermarket headers, is the header extremely close to the intake piping? The T1R headers are very close and I'm getting some header wrap to reduce the amount of heat in that area.

I almost regret getting the "got boost" plate over the "powered by" but I like the lack of subtlety and the catch phrase. I was so flustered when Oscar called. He caught me off guard, even though I knew he'd be calling. All I could think was "omg this is him, this is the man that's made this possible!" (of course with a lot of other ppl's help, like you, Chris).

Just a note...I pre-ordered my KWSC in Iraq, from a run-down internet cafe, last March, before I even was in the states to test drive a Fit. That's how set I was on getting this ^_^

Cool, so you have the T1R + kit installed. You installed the T1R header before the kit, right? Or should I wait until the kit is installed, I don't want to take things back apart when I start wrenching! (And man I wish that exhaust header was a little cheaper.)

I'm helping Illusive with his car so I can answer this one. Install the header at the same time as your supercharger. If you read the instructions, to get the supercharger in it's spot you either need to remove the header or the passenger side axle. In your case just remove the header and install the new one once the SC is in

Who else is waiting for the Hondata BTW?
Yeah I still gotta do some touch ups on those lines. They are a royal pain. Are your headers very close to the SC intake?

Headers have about a 3/4 inch clearance. I adjusted the piping multiple times to get the maximum amount of distance between the two. Also I think the J's header or T1R have larger primaries than the Mugen header. You might have to correct me on that one if I'm wrong.

Is there some secret that leonine got an advanced AT kit or something? I mean, there's no "s-mode" on the manual. It's cool man-- we are just wondering cause it sounds like you have the AT and us AT guys are of course just as anxious as everyone else was. No reply to 2 inquiries about it.

And now it's going to be "a couple more weeks" for the AT kit? I am very patient but damn... the story changes everyday.

He installed the MT kit on his AT. The AT kit IS different, and Installing a MT kit on your AT could void the warranty on the kit.

The Mugen is the same

leonine-- OH I see. That makes sense. Now I vaguely remember that story.
Not to digress too much, but how hard/$$ is the AT to MT conversion? I might be interested in that! I would willingly spring for the 10# kit with Hondata in a second if I had an MT.

I have been trying to decide whether to get my T1R header coated before the SC installation. You just made up my mind.

Thanks

No problem. I don't know if coating them will keep it cool enough. Definitely recommend some header wrap on the right pipe on the header that is closest to the SC.

I'm actually only wrapping the pipe closest to the supercharger. I don't want the heat from the header to melt the hoses connected to the SC. Wrapping will insulate the header and keep the heat inside. The other pipes I will leave as is, but the 1/4" or less space between the two doesn't give me that warm fuzzy feeling...
