T1R Turbo Kit
ur going to have to wait til next week. i had to leave my car at the dyno tuner. software issues. but the few passes they did my car was making near 175whp.
whats your exhaust setup if you don't mind me asking.
Software issues? Do you mean with the E-manage? One thing about that emanage is its very very picky about the usb cable you use. It must be a 2.0 USB cable or else it wont read. I thought it was weird, but that's just the way they designed the emanage.
My car,
90whp/158whp = +68whp and thats only 6psi :O
Where are you getting those numbers from?
dam!! i cant wait to get my turbo installed!! ben had mine pretuned at 6psi, turbo kit has been sitting in my room for about a month now, im just waitn for my spoon built JDM engine (ofcourse with low compression pistons)

Okay take it from the other angle. How do you add only 41% more air (6psi/14.7psi) and get 79% more peak whp?
yea i dont expect the final numbers to be that high. the guy just leaned out the mixture in the lower rpm's to get the right curve at peak boost. he said what he does is leans out the whole spectrum and adds a little more gas to the map every time. when an engine runs lean, it makes the most power so i expect my numbers to be closer to bluecell's numbers. but when i saw the number 173.4 come up on the screen i couldnt stop smiling. then the guy said "dont get too attached to that number. its not gonna be that high in the end"
Thats sooo sic haha, 175whp is monsterous!

And lean AFR's dont always mean more power.

Does he mess with timing? Timing is a power added. Too much timing is dangerous though. Thats what race gas is good for. Thats why I run it in my Mazda when the timings advanced.
Hey congrats on ur car kelso. i dont expect to get 170+ whp in my fit, but i am happy if i get 150+.
And what boost are you running at? 8-ish?
Also does the Fit run decent with just the pretuning of the emanage? because i cant find many (and by that i mean any at all) places that have a dyno/can do tuning around where i live. I mean i wont be boosting all over the place with just the pretune but i will still need to drive it to school and stuff until i can make my way towards Atlanta to find a real tuning shop.

You can also self tune by buying an a/f gauge and seeing where you are more rich or lean and changing around the numbers to take away or add more fuel. But if you don't know what you're doing, then you will need someone that does. Dyno's show the powerband and retuning it helps make it smoother so theres less lag.
You can run without any tuning, I just don't recommend tracking it. Daily driving is ok. All my tuning was adding more fuel. It should be within range where your car won't blow up

Regular air/fuel gauges tap into the OEM o2 sensor. Basically all OEM o2 sensors are narrow band and dont give good readings.
A wideband is a must. Its always a great idea to keep an eye on the AFR's while under boost. Even if the car is tuned.
