i know its telescopic, but i was wondering if the wheel came out further from teh hub than the current gen. teh one in the gd3 is basically on the hub, but the new one looks like it comes out further from the hub

If you guys are telling me that the shift boots are swapable, then i totally want to swap a gd owner for theirs as I do not like the new shift boot. When I saw new picks, I was dissapointed to see the new shift boot not in that style. I love that style, as many of my favorite 80's cars looked like that. Anyone remember the ae86 shift boot. A square version of the one gd's have, pure sex. So if anyone wants mine, when I get my ge in about 2 and a half months, I'll take theirs as long as they havent spilt a mocha latte all over it.

does the GE8 still use a dbw throttle body? the head swap alone doesnt seem worth it to me, especially because of the integrated exhaust mani.
but if you could get that extra 8hp, 1lb of torque, i-vtec, the benefit of running on all 16 valves all the time and the good old fashioned cable throttle body i would swap the head in a heart beat.

headrests are not transferable. the new ones are like, 3 mm wider than the GD3's, so they barely don't fit.

Anybody else noticing the new Fit is like a big FU to the olds ones as far as compatible parts go?

haha, cable throttles are a quickly becoming a thing of the past now.

The positive side of this is that hopefully the new TB bolts right in, it is larger and probably uses similar plugs & identical signal/voltage as the old fit.

Fingers crossed, once they start rolling in I plan to have a very close look at it up close. Anybody know what a new OEM TB from Honda for the Fit is worth?

That alone should boost up your HP & Ft/lbs a touch as well as improve your throttle response.

I want to know if the '09 ambient light kit works for an '08. I don't like red, orange or yellow and the '09 kit is blue.

i did the math at bernardiparts.com and everything you need for a new throttle body for the GD3 costs 554.94. if that helps to give you an idea.

i was reading through the GE forums and came across something pretty disturbing...... maybe i read it wrong, but it looks like the "magic seats" lost the refresh-mode seating position

this may not be too important to many people, but i use refresh-mode very often. if this is true, i won't be swapping out my GD seats for the GE's

I'm interested to know if the GE8 rear spoiler is transferable/interchangeable to the GD3.
I seem to like it a lot.
Hope this subject hasn't been covered!

oh yea, if thats true, then thats pretty crappy. Refresh mode is amazing, especially when you wanna watch a DVD or a movie... just kick back and chill.

I was wondering the same thing. IM also kind of curies to see what the 09 wheels look like on the 07-08s

If the new throttle body does just bolt right up then our best bet would be to try and get a used one down the road

09s lost refresh mode.... because of the front seats. Spoiler seems like it has too much curve to fit on the GD3
