Thanks. I wanted to go with HFP's, but for $600/set + shipping and tires isn't worth it.

I'm not a big fan of painted oem wheels though. I'm sure the car would look a lot better if it was lowered a bit too, but I'm a big fan of the OEM look. My last car was dropped and I'm not ever doing that again. Comfort and hassle-free driving is more important to me.

BTW, is there a reason why everyone want the GE headrests??

The GD headrests are fine. No issues. Why does everyone want to replace them?? You dotn' have to remove the headrests to fold the seats down. The rear headrests fit underneath the front seats. That's why there's the latch on teh side of the front seats to move them back and forth.

PS: Honda has posted a TSB (technical service bulletin) about NOT swapping the headrests! :P

Because then you would not have to move the front seats at all to change fold the seats down. Why would they issue a TSB about not swapping them?
Also, you would have more area that you can see behind the car because the head rests are not blocking your view out the back.

I thought of the same thing too, but if the GE rear headrests see frequent use anyway and are always in the raised position, they'll block the view out the back window just as much as the GD's rear headrests do.

I test-drove a GE6 not too long ago...and the car I drove had its rear headrests up.

But you can always put them down. I suppose that you could always take ours off, but that is a pain.

auto wheel

can anyone here tell me if the older steering wheel with the auto shift "buttons" on the front can be replaced with the wheel that has "paddles" on the rear ?

i test drove a 2004, and the buttons on the front was a big turn off.
i have driven a 2007 with the paddles, and it's a much nicer drive (imho)

Jason.

PS, the reason i ask, is i have not yet bought a car, and my budget at the moment will not allow for anything newer than 2004.

I'm curious why people are trying to swap the ambient light kit from the GE into the GD, Honda already has a kit thats a direct plug and play for the GD it was available on JDM and Canadian models. I got mine from AJ-Racing but I've also seen them available at japan parts...

Well this engine swap thing, not worth it. Just 8 more hp and no torque gain? This throttle body swap thing sounds good anyone done that yet? I was also wondering, GE8 front brake pads fit on the GD3 or caliper swap needed. I am going to look into this brake thing a little more my self. I estimate my brakes will last another year though so I am in no rush lol. Anyone have a problem with overheated GD3 front brakes.... GE8 has new front brakes to correct this problem. My GD3 has a brake pulsation already from overheating. As you can see I could care less about the cosmetic crap, just want my fit to go fast in cornners and in a straght line. Has to stop on a dime as well lol.

If you're asking me I'll see if I can find all the parts bags. I'm anal and I keep all the stuff like that, lol, so I'll take a look around my tool box and boxes of parts to see if I can find what I'm looking for.

Funny thing you say that because the GD and GE kits are the same part # for the JDM light kit....

Read what I wrote again... I said the JDM foot light are the same part #..... they "Do Not" have a light switch... unlike the USDM one for the GE that has a switch...

The box on the top is the item that replaces the switch
