Got a new battery after a few hard starting mornings. Local place had one with a year warranty (blemished) for $44 ($48.01 OTD).

Tech checked it beforehand, was cranking weak according to their tester at about 200 amps.

This is the third battery in 287,000 miles.

This past Monday...

On the way into the office today, car was idling a little low sitting at a stop light not a mile from the house. Light turns green, and the engine light starting blinking and there is a definate loss of power. Close to a shopping center, so I pull in and park. Scan for engine code and there is none... restart the car, rev it a little (still missing), turn it off and finally a code: P0303. So cylinder 3 this time. I just replaced the coil pack for Cyl 2 about 1/2 year ago, so I knew it was time for the other coil packs to start having issues.

Jumped on the phone and ordered a replacement from the Auto Zone about 1 mile up the road (in stock) and called a friend to pick me up to run and get it. Walk in and walk out with the part in about 2 minutes. Ran back to the car and swapped out the parts (maybe 2 minutes?). All is good again. Car ran great the 8 miles or so to the office.

Car has 115K on it. May go ahead and order 2 more and keep them in the car for when the others decide to go

Cool Winter is Almost here

I changed to 14" wheels for winter with NEW General Altimax Arctic 175/65/14r on all four wheels and put the 15" alloy OEM wheels to rest out the winter.
Has anyone ever tried winter specific tires on their Fit? It is a very different car in the snow and wet roads, almost like night & day

I run the exact same tires on 14" steelies for winter time. It is indeed night and day.

Yep steelies, I get to laugh at 4WD SUV's they never could believe it... unless of course they have winter specific tires lol

Awesome clear

Sprayed some glamour clear from epic paint.
It felt like soft grippy plastic, and looked like glass

Was due for 4 recalls, SRS wiring, window switch, headlight switch and passenger airbag. Got them all taken care of in about 3 hours time.

I replaced mine to innovative. Trans mount and passenger side engine mount are simple. The rear engine mount requires so odd hand positions but it's not to bad. I supported the engine with two jacks and pulled all the engine mounts and put the rear on first.

How's the rumbling of the engine now? I replaced my old integra's motormounts with polyurethane bushings and it vibrated like crazy (although it was fine because racecar)

Got the black ones that are one step up than the reds, you can feel the vibrations/noise pretty badly...

How did they fit? I keep reading that the fitment of those mounts is pretty bad.

more vibes and sound but nothing off the wall imho.

Installed 1 of 2 cross bar on J's C-Pillar and J's rear strut bar, don't have enough time to finish the second bar
