What did you do to your GE fit today?
im a daily driver and nitrogen in my tires made a HUGE diffence, alot smoother ride, i havent had my air pressure go down since i got it done almost a year ago. Worth every penny to get it done. Ill never go back to air, must the new Honda come with nitrogen in the tires already. If your see a Honda with green vavle covers it means it has nitrogen filled tires. I reccommened to to everyone.
No freezing in San Antonio.
well i have neo gen tires that are only a inch thick so my ride was bumpy as hell and when i hit a bump it was horrible, but after i got nitrogen feels like you have that floating suspension feelin like crown vic ha, and gas milleage went up 6 more mpg on highway, i feel a better grip when driving and cornering. Plus im not rushing to gas station to fill up on air all the time like i use to, weather temp changes alot where i live hot one day cold the next. I ended up fillin my tires twice a week when i had just air in my tires. I even thought maybe its in my head like when you get a new aftermarket part thats suppose to better the car and really your just thinking its working so i tested it with my girlfriend and my parents and if you knew them they think putting parts on a car is pointless. Both my parents and girlfriend have driven my car when i had regualr air in it and hated driving my car. My parents used my car for 2 days and not even knowing i changed the anything one it asked if I got new shocks or something becuase it drives like a whole differnt car and I told them all i did was put nitrogen in my tires. Now both my parents filled thier tires up with nitrogen and love it, and they wouldnt even put tint on their car ha thats how bad they think aftermarket things are stupid even though i explain all the time it would help. but thats a differnt story, but my point is its noticable to even the most stubborn people with cars.
if anyone wants better carbon fiber interoir and exterior that you can get alot differnt colors, i been using this company for a year and its awesome. I never seen anyone mention it so i decide to share my secert go to ttp://www.dashkitspecialties.com and its always free shipping and alot cheaper then alot of places

Well, that's why it was used in the pro racing cars. The reason its used in regular cars is that you can turn 20 bucks worth of gas into a few hundred.

Pressure is what will make the difference in economy, not the type of gas you fill it up with.
oh and to stay on topic, I had to get out the Ice Scraper to clean off the windows of the FIT & Ridgeline this morning. winter, she's a Comin!!!!
Tomorrow is Snow tire install day so today's the last day for the OEM Turanza's as the integra wheels with Snows will be swapped on tomorrow. When the Fit Alloys go back on, She'll have new rubber... not sure what but something High performance all season or summers. Might look at Direzzas again... not sure.

~SB Getting those snows just in time - more of that stuff on the way. I hate snow shovels in October.
Life is Great in the Great NE. I'm still sitting in the fence, Conti DWS are looking better all the time. Just don't want another set of four hanging around.

I know, plenty of you guys don't believe in any benefit of Nitrogen... I do (to some extent).
This is what TireRack says near the end of their Nitrogen vs Air page.
I kinda think even $5 per tire is high... but then again, I'm annoyed that some gas stations charge $1 just to use the air compressor. So... if I find a place that charges $4 total ($1 per tire) for nitrogen... I'm gonna do it. Till then, I guess I'll just stick to the air compressor in my garage. Hey, we have it, might as well use it.
As for CharlotteGE8Alex's claims about the MPG and bumpiness... eh... I'm not so inclined to believe.

So what should drivers do?
Overall, inflating tires with nitrogen won't hurt them and may provide some minimal benefits.
Is it worth it? If you go someplace that provides free nitrogen with new tires, why not? Additionally we’ve seen some service providers offering reasonable prices of about $5 per tire (including periodic adjustments for the life of the tire) to a less reasonable $10 per tire (with additional costs for subsequent pressure adjustments) or more as part of a service contract, which we believe exceeds the value of nitrogen’s benefit.
Rather than pay extra for nitrogen, most drivers would be better off buying an accurate tire pressure gauge and checking and adjusting their tire pressures regularly.
