The MF10Ls just kept staring at me and asked if they could go on temporarily in place of the RE30s. Figured why not, even though the tires are not the size and type that will eventually be outfitted.

Is it better to fill your tires with nitrogen instead of air? Please read below.

Everyone knows that vinyl's molecular structure has a smoother drag coefficient than standard clearcoat paint, so you'd need to cross multiply the difference of your vinyl to paint ratio.

It's science.

Tire pressure issue described earlier came back
today...

Check the pressure on that tire this morning and
found it was down by 4lbs. Checked the tire and
found a screw sticking out of it

Took the Fit to DiscountTire where they fixed the
leak and put in a TPMS rebuild kit. No charge.

First time I've had an issue with the Fit.

Nitrogen would not have been a fix for this.

In fact I might not have caught this issue with
nitrogen feeling it was unnecessary to check the
pressure... and not wanting to lose a bit of
nitrogen during the check.

Hence why pinstripe vehicles are faster than non-pin-stripe vehicles. same goes with the Racing stripes over the hood and roof.

As for me... The FIT got her winter shoes today. Same as last year... just put them on before we get 4-7" tonight.

Trick.... brrrrrr .... or..... brrrrrr...... treat..... brrrrrr

Took the car out today on the Snows and whoa!!! what a difference in Feel. The winter Tires feel sloppy in comparison. granted I'm going from 185/55/16 to 185/65/15 so not only do I have another 1/2" of sidewall due to the drop in rim size, I have another 1/4" due to the larger overall diameter. Pumped them up to 36psi to deal with the drop in pressure that is bound to occur and to try and get a more rigid tire to compensate for the additional sidewall.

TPMS light came on as I don't have sensors... Time to find the electrical tape. Maybe I can find some black blank static Decal material somewhere.

~SB - live with the light! It'll be a sweet reminder that it's winter - like you'll need one, right.

EDIT: it's snowing here, hard. I haven't driven the FIT.

So, my wheels have been getting pretty dirty. Like, un-scrubable dirty. I stumbled upon this fantastic product: (thanks mom lol)

Another members been wanting a clean license relocation spot and made this...

Same as H-Fit's for the GD but since they don't make it for GE's...voila! Tow hook relocation plate!

This particular one follows the curve of the front, but he has another one that faces front. Let me know what you think!

He can also make these to order. PM if interested!

Nitrogen blend

I use a custom blend of roughly eighty percent nitrogen, twenty percent oxygen. Works quite nicely. Also, interestingly, a bit cheaper than the all-nitrogen fills. I imagine it's also available outside New England.

It was 79 degrees outside a couple of hours ago and not a cloud in the sky... It has dropped to 72 and is supposed to hit 47 for an overnight low... I love this time of the year....

Coyote - not a cloud in the sky here either, only 10" of heavy wet snow in the ground! It'll be 50d in a few and it will go, but there's more to come... you get that tire fixed? Fit's don't do good 'off road', even if it's only two wheels ;-)

SB
- I'm thinking that's a good place for a rad license plate spike like I saw someone on here rockin a while back.

I just moved from Nor-Cal a year ago and we never had to have front plates. Do you HAVE to put front plates on??Name: smilieohmy.gif

You've been fortunate then. It's the law though not strictly enforced, you can get a fix-it ticket if you get picked on.
