Changed the spark plugs two days ago...what a pain in the ass.

Also, got an oil change and brake fluid change at the dealership, but now my brakes are deep and mushy. Taking it back tomorrow after work!

the drink table looks like a cupholder. and that other thing.. looks like it's just something to hang off the mirrors (you know, like fuzzy dice).

Agreed, the Drink table is I think one of those cup holders that clips just below the driver/passenger door window (clip slides down between window and rubber gasket) something I could picture in a late 70's caddy with fake wood grain

Drove to the tire shop with the stock wheels and tires and my snow wheels and tires in the trunk (summers on the car!) to have the TPMS switched to the snows. The head guy at the shop was impressed I had 8 tires in the back.

With the Continental DWS tires (and Swift springs), yes, handles very well. I drove over speed limit in torrential rain as I was crossing New York and Pennsylvania.
I even hit 90 as I was passing some folks, but usually around 70-75... and this was considering I had almost no visibility (relied on the faint tail light of the guy speeding ahead of me).

The one time I had the Fit in the real snow, on stock suspension, 185/65r14 Altimax Arctics (with studs), I was driving to Toronto from NJ. Had no problems doing 70-75 on the flatter parts in upstate NY, in the mountains, doing 50-65 was no problem, apart from the one time the wind gusted down off the mountainside so hard (big cliff the wind can run down) that I was under-steering just to keep the car on the road. Must have been gusting around 70mph, maybe more for that.

Watch the plastic, it scratches easy. I just finished cleaning the inside today, windows tomorrow.

Today, I put the "For Sale" sign on our 09 Fit Sport with Nav.... It's time to upgrade to a bigger car to haul baby stuff. Know anyone interested in a Fit?

Put PVC Clazzios in (Thanks Bean Garage!). Also drove ~100 miles today running errands, which is about 2x my weekday driving.

Why would you sell a Fit because you're having a kid? I don't ever remember my parents having anything bigger than an Escort wagon until I was 13 or 14.

Being first time parents, we are over the top on things. He came out via c-section at 8lbs 7oz, 20.5 inches

I remember as a kid when we got the VW Rabbit as the family hauler. I also remember things being very different back then as far as hauling kids around. we never wore seatbelts in the back as half the time we were laying down. car Seats also weren't as big or safe back then. When we looked at replacing the Integra hatch & civic Coupe, we looked at the 4-dr Civic and the 1st gen fit. Neither would really fit a rear-facing car seat and we didn't want to compromise on which car seat we got either. Altima was added to the family.

Congrats on the little one. hopefully at this point he's sleeping at night? We went all-out for a while. name brand Diapers, etc... We found out after a little bit that K-mart, Target or Hannaford (supermarket) brand diapers worked 95% as good for 50% of the price. My son didn't care as long as he was dry. The '13 CR-V is a nice vehicle and should work well. (My parents just picked up a '12 about 3 months ago)
Congrats again.
