SB, I've been running BP Ultimate since chattin' it up with you last winter, I run the mid-grade from time to time "just to see" and I can tell you and everyone else that there is a difference for sure
I checked out those first two threads you sent me and there's alot going on there for sure. I'm doing everything I can from using 93 BP and running 0w20 Mobil 1. I've always wondered about Enos, anyone heard good/bad things about that stuff?

Enoes might be Honda's OE oil you can buy in the bottle. If that's true then that is the way to go.

The mileage last tank was 32.6 mpg, very consistent and get this, it was when using Speedway premium, I was there getting a carwash and was in need of gas anyways. I didn't notice any loss in power either but I did fill up today at my usual BP

I have to keep adding to it but I am waiting on test results. One of my sites I go too is testing higher octane and mpg. They started to notice higher mpg with ethanol blends when it should have dropped compared to conventional gasoline. Every Fit is not the same but the ecu does advance the timing and adjust to premium. The rest is up to the driver.
I went 55 on the Tollway just to see what my mpg was and it was a lot lower then me going 65. Humidity raises the octane meaning it will advance the timing more and lean the fuel air. I noticed this week the humidity is lower and so is my mpg but still over 40 mpg. A/C raises the engine loads so more fuel is needed.

I have to say that I didn't notice a huge loss, if any, with the a/c during freeway trips but the use of a/c around town just knocks this thing on its ass when talking MPG though! This is where the extra 30 ft/lbs of torque would really come into play IMO. I will be going back home during the weekend of Sept 11th for our pre-Dragon meet, so the temps should be down and I'll be taking a familar route there, one I've taken before to get my base hwy mileage numbers from. The difference now is that I've been running 93 for many, many monthes now so the ecu knows it and the engine is running clean. I have to say that there is a noticable difference in throttle response for sure, no doubt about it

How do you explain my mileage going up in the winter once I switched to premium? It went from 22-23 mpg to 28-29 mpg, using the "old school" calculator method, tried and true

I got 41.5 average for 2 tanks. I am getting better mpg now then when the car was new. I have 18000 miles on the car. I just hope winter mpg is up too. BP is now advertising a few more miles using there gasoline. The last tank I used the AC more and drove more city because of the car show.
Lights have a big drag too. It was raining on the way home and my mpg was falling. I turned off the lights and the instant mpg went up by 20 mpg.

Not only has mileage gone up a couple mpg's but the trans shifts harder since switching to the premium! Now, that's gotta be giving the engine a bit more power, what else could it be in such a wimpy engine'd car

I know I get better going back to Chicago and to date, with the larger width wheels and tires, I've gotten a best of 41 mpg. This trip though I may have my buddy with me who's about 250 lbs, just sayin'. Shouldn't be a huge drop off but its one factor that's going to be a bit different though

My civic is auto too. It shifts better and runs smoother than on regular(wife's car). Ive always use premium in the fit except in the winter on occasion, then I would use Mid grade.
Extra weight can help on the Hwy on the down grades and as long as you pick up speed for going back up. A ultra gauge would really help you see that. The 20 mpg was correct. I have the engine load and instant mpg on the same screen. Engine load and mpg go hand in hand. You can have 100 percent load and only press the pedal ever so slightly. The electric throttle body is not like the old cable. It opens based on load and since your running premium its more efficient. You will notice you dont have to press down so much. Ive passed a truck at 60 mph only pressing a little on the pedal. Trans did not down shift and passed in a second. The main reason people dont see mpg improvement is because of pedal memory and them enjoying the extra power on premium.

I did use premium though, $4.07. I had .7 gallon left in the tank, I mean I could've made it but didn't wanna risk it, you know and besides, I had to get my car washed their anyways, great touch-free carwash there

Speedway is Marathon gas and is good gas minus additives just the minimum. Marathon Petroleum Corporation
I have been reading and in 1983 they found out that 94.5 ron fuel had the lowest fuel consumption. Why they lowered it to 91/92 who knows? Maybe $$$ and they are afraid to admit it. In the 90s compression ratios started to come back up at the same time unleaded premium came online. 96 knock sensors were used in every OBDII car which was every car and then they said premium would allow more power and mpg but they continued to say use 91/92 ron fuel.

I took a 200 mile trip yesterday and my average was almost 38 mpg. The way to my destination I averaged 65 mph...this seems to be a sweet spot for the ge8 and i was showing 41 mpg. The trip back I was doing 80 mph and my mpg dropped and my average for the trip was 37.8 mpg.
I just hooked up an ultra gauge. What should I fill in for my tank size? The fit is like a 10.4 gallon tank...I don't top it off, so should I fill it in as a 10 gallon tank?

I was just reading and found out why my mpg is way up. They say that when fuel enters the combustion chamber it vaporizes very quickly with little air flow but when you step on the pedal more fuel has to be added because the fuel un-vaporizes and turns back to larger drops so more fuel is added to prevent miss fires. I notice when I get to cruise I can let off the pedal and see that the mpg goes way up and so does timing. I see 50/55 average mpg on the ultra gauge at 70 mph. I am still reading but its nice to see data of what I observed.

Friday's mpg was all the way up 37.6 mpg, those cool mornings and no a/c usage really helped, maybe the dry gas too
I'll be so glad when fall is here, not just for mpg either, this summer has been brutal!!!
