My mileage story
I put more air in the tires over the winter because I was really low and didn't want to keep adding. 5psi and the ultra gauge would need to be corrected by adding miles to match the OD. Got the tires rotated and the proper air in and the ultra gauge is accurate now. I am telling this because people think they are getting better mpg by adding more air and the only thing they are doing is adding more miles to the car they didn't drive. For every 300 miles driven it like adding 15 more miles you didn't. That mean less warranty and more miles on car then it should. Thats why my mpg is lower.
With this return to slightly colder weather the mileage has dropped some, down to 33 mpg and I'm sure it has nothing to do with my 11 mile drive to work now compared to the 21 mile drive I had before where I was driving on longer, 2 lane roads compared to what I do now. Speaking of that, I'm on the road very early i the morning now, so I don't hit alot of lights, so that's not it. Once I move in a month I'll be on the freeway almost all the way there, so my mileage has no choice but to go up

Your mpg is down a little because of less miles driven. You will still save because your driving less miles so less gas needed every day. My wifes car is the same Civic (have 2) and I am getting 37 per ultragauge and the old fashion way and wifes car is getting 24 and I drove it to work on Friday. She drives a lot of short trips and uses regular. I can tell you I noticed a difference accelerating revving it to 3000 compared to 2500 in my car, It also down shifts and revs to 5000 when my car just pulls through in gear.
Changing the plugs is always good but there should not be a big difference if using same plug type. The gap might be opened or closed by the bouncing of the ocean on the way here and could be the problem and also explain coil problems too with different gaps causing them to over heat. There also might be cracks in the porcine that show up latter. I know it sounds crazy but I know what weight moving and stopping fast can do. I had a problem with the right front tire in my Fit and I blamed it on the trip over by the tie down.

The OBC is showing almost 39 mpg right now, but then again, its been starting high like that a working its way down. The one thing that might help me is the fact that the weather is warming up again, we'll see in 2 weeks when I need gas again, I love a shorter drive to work right now!

Wish I had a shorter drive like about half what I drive now, then I could go 3 weeks with out getting gasoline.
I'm on 3/4 still after filling up last weekend, I'm loving it but in a couple weeks I'll have a 20 mile drive to work, maybe a little longer but starting early (3-4 a.m) I don't deal with any traffic and I'll be on the freeway too, so that will be pretty sweet
My current mileage will not be known till next weekend when I need fuel. I wonder how the new BP station will be for good fuel, I'm hoping its good but for right now, I've used the one by my buddy's house in Villa Park w/o a problem. I too paid $4.49 for 93 and since the weather isn't turning around yet, I might just throw in some mid-grade and see what happens.

It's been over 3 weeks since I've filled up my car.. It has been driven about 118 miles and the fuel gauge needle is not quite down to the full mark. Tomorrow I have to drive a little over 200 miles round trip to a medical appointment and I'm hoping I can make it back without having to fill up but usually the fuel prices are much lower in Waco than in the bogus town I live near.. I guess I'll watch out for the best prices on my way there and stop at the station with the lowest price on the return trip... I'll have to use the A/C so fuel mileage is going to suck pretty bad.

Some more advice try to drive with the wind at your back and take concrete roads compared to asphalt roads. Following a semi up to 150 feet back works too but watch for rocks, They do a lot of damage.

Broke 40 and working on more. Paid 4.69 but the extra mpg from the good stuff is worth it. Now I have 95 percent of the good stuff so I hope to get 42 mpg next fill up. Fuel trims are -3.1 for both and the swings are sometimes big it always returns to -3.1.
10 Base Fit, 22K, 50 mile commute daily round trip of back roads/country driving. I reset the trip calculator every fill up. 87 octane, I get anything from Turkey Hill to Exxon gas and I have been averaging about 200 miles per half tank, 39-42 mpg according to the trip calculator.
My latest drive north to Maine - 800+ miles round trip.
Majority of driving - open turnpike. 70-75mph. Premium fuel.
1st fill-up: 321.7miles - 37.6mpg MM - 36.2mpg By the numbers
2nd fill-up: 332.2miles - 37.7mpg MM - 37.86mpg By the numbers
MM now reading 40.2mpg after two days of local back home driving.
Local driving gives me better mileage then turnpike. Been this way since day one. I normally do not drive in stop and go cities.

I'll be getting gas this Friday before I get my rear diffuser wrapped in Scotchbrite CF vinyl, so we'll see how it goes in the MPG department. OBC is showing about 36, give or take a couple tenths, so it will probably be about 35.5 mpg if I had to guess.....it is May, right
Mid 30's going to work and what, low 50's on the way home, give me a break!

Is the turnpike asphalt or concrete? I noticed better mpg on concrete. Ive slowed down a little and trying to gauge the lights but still getting caught by them. You would think they would have smart lights now instead of red light cameras. 50/50 and still doing 70 mph on the Interstate and I am getting 41 according to the Ultra gauge after correction with cooler temps than the best mpg temperature of 60/70 degrees.
I would have to say a bit of everything, through 4 states with bits of it being constantly resurfaced so that means ground down asphalt. A good mix in other words. These numbers are a bit up from what I used to see running regular fuel last year. Not going to venture guessing it's the premium, but could be. I do like the perceived pep hi-test give anyway.
Its 24 cents here but if I get 2 more mpg it pays for itself which I do, more like 4 mpg. My Civic is rated 27 city and 36 hwy and I am at 41 right now. Got 40 last summer too but disappointed with the winter mpg but this was a bad winter. 36 on Regular and 38 Mid grade. For $2.40 I get 40 more miles compared to 20 I would get by burning a little more than a half a gallon more of regular.
First time in 2 weeks that I needed gas, ah, the 10 mile drive to work
The numbers today were 35.2 mpg but its been pretty cold in the morning, so I'm not complaining for sure.
Now let's hope the gas stays under $100 a barrel, they said if it stays there for a month the gas should come down to the low $3.00, let's see
