I'm liking the raise in temps, my average is nearing 41 mpg
I am upset too, the prices are higher so then there is even more taxes being paid with out raising the tax rate. Ethanol tax subsides rate increase of 5 cents too. They are selling our extra fuel to lower the supply raising the prices. If a business did that they would be bankrupt from lost of business. That is why they are hurting too.

I am liking the weather too. 1/2 a tank and 240 miles almost summer mpg. Yesterday I seen my fuel trims lean out nicely and got some of the lost mpg back. Glad it warmed up and hope we dont pay for it later...

Lost 2 mpg's once again, down to 38.4 mpg, so the last three tanks were as follows, 38.7, 40.6 and 38.4 mpg, its just weird, especially since its been so much warmer too, oh well, just keep tracking it and then waiting for spring where I expect mid 40's all the time!

People are probably wondering why your complaining when your getting 20/30 percent better than they are. Warmer temps can also vaporize the winter fuel going in to your tank causing some of it to go back in the stations tanks. There are alot of things like difference in driving and more idle time. Racing between lights.

My gas mpg is higher with 80 miles using 10 percent of the tank so if I can keep it up for the next two days before the cold and snow hit I should get around 38 which would raise my 3 tank average which is still better than Honda rated it.

My BP station has a sticker at the pump that says "All gas has 10% ethanol"

The stations I go to say up to 10 percent. I will see if they changed them but I am waiting for them to say up to 15 percent at our expense.

I checked into that site where they sell "pure gas", nothing around here, all of them seem to be out in the sticks, oh well, I guess we'll have to all deal with what we get now!

Pure gas is hard to find if at all. Bp ultimate is ethanol free or uses higher alcohols. My ultra gauge fuel trims reads -3.1 for both which means its pulling fuel. When I put the ultra gauge on the wifes car its 0 with regular gas. My mpg is steady around 35 so I am happy with that and with a lot more idling too.

KA, I switched to Shell and got 39.5 mpg with 60 percent shell V-power and 40 percent BP premium. The fuel trims and timing are still all over the place but the mpg is great for the temps out side. Both fuels are clean burning and the tail pipe is clean so no knock. I filled up with Shell so now I will see if it was the mix or Shell that gave me better mpg. If it goes down I will alternate my tanks. Shell seems to like higher revs and BP is better at lower rpm's, so Shell for Max HP at higher rpms and BP for more torque at lower rpm is what I am noticing. That means both fuels are different.
