Eibach Pro-Kit Installed

F-1.2" R-1.4" Dropped

It's about 15~25% stiffness increased(front about 15%, rear 25%), my friends tired sit on the back seats and told me that it's little bumpy. Handling & braking are much better now~ I drove on the freeway about 95 mph, the steering still stable

Hownet, do you posting a "lighter" picture of your car. The current photo is too dark and we can really see how much of a wheel gap there is between the tire and fender. TIA.

Thanks for the second photo. Shows the fender clearances more clearly. Nice drop and I think it looks better than the Tanabe DF210 because the rear sit too low on the Tanabes IMO.

damage struts?

Hey guys, aren't lowering going to eventually blow out your struts? Because on my srt-4 we had to always yous coil overs because the lowering springs would blow out the struts and that was way more costly than the coil overs.

I think if you are bottoming out your struts on bumps often, so far havent done that once.
Also if the spring rate over powers the dampening rate of the strut that can wear out struts faster, but again the spring rates on RSR or Tanabe are only 10% or so above stock. Pretty sure not too much danger of blowing out struts in this application. If you really slammed it (2" drop or more) yeah you will probably have issues.
and short shifters wont ruin your transmission from shifting faster.
and putting on an intake wont void the warranty on the entire vehicle.

ok, that's all i wanted to know? Btw, i know about short shifters and cold air intakes. but you forgot one, putting NOS stickers on your car adds about 10hp and ups the cool factor by 5

some people said the backs aren't needed but i disagree.
make sure you cut your bump stops. cut at least 1.5 inches off.
if you don't the front end will ride on the bump stops.
take it from me i know first hand.

Wink

Is it more difficult to go up or down the ramps/slope and speed bumps? Will the tires hit the inner part of the fenders?

On the other hand, does it improve the handling of the car when turning in sharp corners?

yes it will be a little more difficult on the driveways and stuff.
fenders don't rub. this all depends if you have aftermarket
wheels and what offset they are.
also handling is better.

No, you should not. Am going to lower our GE8 Sports FiT with Tanabe DF210 this afternoon and don't expect to have any rubbing issues with OEM wheels & tires.

Agree with Nick, the fronts are a must, I havent trimmed my back ones yet but it is on my to do list (although I havent bottomed yet) With the Tanabe springs I may be more inclined to say be sure to trim the stops in back right away as the Tanabes seem to sit lower in back.

Yeah learn to take slopes/transitions on an angle and handling is improved.

I know that it is recomended to get an alignment when springs are installed. Do you guys usually actually do this? Also with the stock rims and tires is it really necessary to change the camber? I just ordered my Eibachs and want to be ready. Sorry for asking so many questions.

i didn't do nothing to mine so far and all is well. tires are still even
and it still drives straight. i guess you'll just have to see after you
do yours. then you will know if you need it or not.
as for mine it didn't need anything.
