I left some slack as I have plans to move it under a custom false floor in the future.

I very much wanted to get rid of the trunk's Styrofoam, and created a "cover" that I attached my old Kicker sub to.

Yes you're my inspiration for this

I just noticed over the weekend that one of the college hills Honda horns is dying. The regular horn is fine, but the panic horn sounds like a dying cat. Anyone know which is which? Easy enough to figure out but figured I'd ask in case anyone knew.

The one in the passenger fender well is the "alarm chirp" one. My Fiamm also died there too, and it's better isolated from the elements.

Hmm you're right that it's better protected, but maybe not as much as we thought since we both had them fail. I remember seeing you had that super loud horn. I might swap that for the normal horn, and move the sport horn to the panic one. Not a big priority as I don't really care about the panic one.

Yeah, it's so loud that I've had big rigs stop at the intersection after they just started to move on a green light. I had to "remind" a taxi driver that the light was green.

Wife got me seat heaters for Christmas:

Zone Tech Heated Car Seat Cushion

It came with 2 and I'll probably install the other in the 4Runner. I have it set to 100*F and that's plenty hot. I tried 110*F and it was too hot for me. There is a timer feature and I set it to 60 minutes, perfect for my commute. The little bubble things don't seem to bother me and it gives the seat a little extra padding. They heat up pretty quick but we'll see how long they last. I've only tried it in low 40s and they perform pretty well.

Not on my Fit, but used my
Portable Jump Starter Portable Jump Starter
to jump start my coworker's Acura TL. It has the 3.5L engine so I'm confidant it can boost my 1.5L in the Fit

I've used my genius gb40 on my Fit and people who needed a boost. Even bought one for my brother and he recently used it too. Sure beats having to wait for another vehicle with booster cables.

ooh, thanks for the rotation reminder! this new commute is killing me, and accelerating my maint schedule. I'm near 46k, and looks like I got a few items coming up real soon

Planned:
Next Tire Rotation = 46500 mi
Next Oil Change = 47500 mi
Next Intake Filter Cleaning = 47500 mi
Cabin Air Filter Cleaning = 48000 mi

It really does make things faster. I had him going in minutes and left him the booster in case he needed. It died again later on and he called his insurance's tow company. They had a multimeter and think his alternator is faulty.

Sounds like you and I have similar commutes. I'm averaging about 20k a year. With all the highway miles, my oci is almost 10k so that's not too bad.

The last two days, I'm seeing a frozen condensation on the driver rear window. Yesterday was really bad because the day before yesterday it rained/sleeted on my way home. I parked in the garage and thought nothing of it. I noticed the frozen condensation as I was driving yesterday morning. This morning it wasn't as bad, but something that hadn't happened before. Probably because I haven't had to deal with crazy polar vortex! 3°F on the drive in this morning. It may be colder where you're at, but too dang cold for me!

I'll have to pull the door panel off and see if that plastic sheeting is intact. All the door seals look fine from a cursory look. No leaks onto the carpet.

The only time that I've seen my windows frozen on the inside, was when I slept overnight in Ottawa during the winter. Took awhile for the defroster to work its magic.

So it hasn't frozen again, but we also haven't had that crazy winter weather. I pulled the door panels and everything looked good. Must have been freaky circumstances, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Just wanted to update on the new stablemate of my Fit. It's the older bigger sibling

No idea. I'll have to get measurements, but it is a good size. I will miss it when we move at the end of the year. We'll be going into my rental house that only has one garage space. The benefit is that the new house will be much closer to work cutting my commute almost in half. Mortgage monthly payment and principal owed will be lower so it'll get us closer to having it paid off as well.

I had to do a double-take when I read your link vs the picture - 2003 vs 2013.
