Interestingly enough, just a phone charger or GPS is all I ever plug into it. Honda dealership says if I "jiggle" the plug a little bit with the power on accidentally it may cause a short and blow the fuse.

I have no idea.

Maybe my charger is jacked up, I dunno. I don't think so because I never have a problem on my other car with that charger.

I've got an idea - they're full of it. I would bet dimes to doughnuts that it's a faulty plug.

Talk with the service manager [they usually aren't in the service bay] and the head of the dealership. The solution you were given is totally BS.

Well if you mean DD as in daily driving I need much better stopping power, according to my DD definition. What I don't need is precisely the looks, big red calipers are a look I don't want.I wonder if any other bigger caliper from Honda could be "fitted" , but then that could affect the ABS and VSA.Looks like my answer lies in better pads and rotors, all four braided lines and high boiling point brake fluid. JJ (I'll have to adjust my DD) THANKS SUBIE!!

Actually, "jiggling" (working) contact points is always a bad idea. You're creating electrical arcs which can reach who knows what.

But, simply plugging and unplugging should be fine.

In the Pathfinder, I constantly blew a fuse when I was using a 2-to-1 splitter, but I think the splitter was faulty, cause once I used a different one (4-to-1 even!), it stopped blowing fuses.

BTW, there's no AC outlet. It's DC, and you need an inverter to get AC.

The power outlet in the Fit is pretty sad... it could not ever power a portable air compressor that has worked on every other car (4) I've owned in the life of that compressor unit thus far. The fuse will just blow (I tired it multiple times and just blew a couple of fuses). This is what I have...

Amazon.com: Master Flow MF-1040 Cyclone High Volume Portable Air Compressor: Automotive

Hated having to pump up the large tank air compressor I have just to adjust tire pressures.

I wouldn't try putting higher drain devices on the Fit's power plug.

Man, you must be a Dart driver JJ - dart in dart out . And you have the right sized car to do it too. Yeah those upgrades should do it. I've got Hawks, Powerslots and Goodridge lines on my Rex. All stock on the Fit.

agree that you don't need brembo for DD... i had a friend install one of those on his fit... and it's so damn powerful, we always feel jolted forward whenever he brakes... might be his foot, but it didn't feel as awkward before he swap it... but nevertheless, can't argue with the looks... i love the project mu looks and colors.... it stands out as just "Cool"... blueish green... or greenish blue?

Bah, ya got me lol

Yes Crimson, I took it to the dealership to have them look at it but just didn't have the time to drop the car off and leave it there. I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the plug because i've never had this issue before with any other cars i've had (including 80s econoboxes). If the circuit is really that touchy I find it pretty sad but i'll deal with it.

On the subject of brakes, I had Green Stuff on powerslots before and thought it was great for a daily. I'll probably do the same to the Fit whenever the OEMs wear out. Greenstuff not so good for track though keep that in mind if you go HPDE.

lol, it means that my car attracts dust like it's got static charge all over its body.... leave it in the carport for half day, and i'm met with dusty car... my car is nighthawk black pearl... i know.. i know... i'm wrong to choose black... but hey, no paint looks as deep as black.... i'm very fond of black cars.... although they are killing me on cleaning...

that's why my DD is silver color... the Jazz is my toy car..

awwmygawdd.. are you ok? how the hell can you stay online when hell breaks loose? i'm glad i live in the tropics... with no tropical storm or hurricanes....

nah black is good... just have to spend more time cleaning it... and about the heat, unless yours are a track car stripped of every interior lining, than it doesn't matter.. cause the interior blocks the body panel heat. Just put on some tint on it and you're good... i'm guessing that your summer do not come near as our dry season... it's really humid and hoottttt during our dry season... and the puny a/c on the jazz doesn't help anything, even with my 80% tinting....

Unhappy Where is the outside temp indicator

I got my Fit Sport Tuesday and I don't think there is an outside temp indicator. I miss knowing the temp. Do I need to turn something on, or does the Fit not have one?

I dunno, 5 mile run of beautiful 2 lane winding country highway through a state park along the bottom of a small mountain induces a lot of break fade. At least it did in my 97 civic. It was probably the downhill hard breaking from 110mph to 85 for a short but tight right hander that would start the overheating and break fade.

That road is 1/3rd of my commute. I love it.
