I was able to get an honest 30 mpg out of my 66 1300cc Beetle but it had the 69 mm crank like your 67 but I think the bore was the same as the 40 HP 1200 and only 77mm where the 1500 was something like 82mm... Back in those days regular fuel had 94 octane.

It's been said, but the hunting it does when going up even the slightest hills. I am normally a highway driver always using the cruise. Easiest fix is just shutting the cruise off and doing it yourself! I have a 10' A/T Sport. Haven't had any issues other than that! I love the little thing.

It took me a few tries in my new '11 Sport to get the door unlock the way I want (unlock all). I think I was pressing the button in the wrong direction.

Curious why you would want to disable DRL?

After 3 weeks, my largest gripe is still the drivers side pillar making it difficult to follow the centerline while on left hand curves. [Add 9/24: defroster switch stays on until you push it off again, doesn't matter if you shut the car off]

Head banging headrest REMEDY

For all of us complaining about the headrests on the FIT, mostly the front ones, you can try this, just did it yesterday,if somebody posted this before,, I had not seen it.SWAP THE FRONT ONE(driver's side of course) with one of the REAR ones,,yes I know, the holes won't line up perfectly but will fit in there with a little convincing on both seats,(front on rear ,rear on front)I noticed the difference right away ,no more head banging, just awkward looking.Since I mostly drive alone,(no passengers) and my wife avoids going along,it's perfect.Hope someone benefits from this. I wish the car had temp and oils gauges. Other than that, I'm really happy with my Fit.... after four days.....

There isnt really anything I can hate about on the Fit. Its a good car that fits its purpose (simple daily driving, taking family around).

Only two little things I don't like about the car: 1) The ride is a bit rough BUT I knew that already due to the fact that I researched the car for months and test drove it. 2) High RPMs while on the highway make for a noisy ride but I drive on the highway 2 to 3 times a month so it doesn't effect my life too much.

Agree with both of those.

My other (minor) complaint is that the AC compressor (or something to do the AC) is pretty noisy when the car is idling. I can clearly hear it cycling on and off. Anyone else have this issue? I live in Hawaii, so I run AC pretty constantly.

I think you're talking about the radiator fans cycling.

2 solutions...

-leave the AC off and roll with the windows down... I do this on a regular
basis here in Texas where we have had many days over 100 this summer

-crank up the tunes and boogie on down the highway... preferably AC/DC
or ZZ-Top

-don't do anything and be thankful the AC is working and you have audible
cues of that.

Oh wait... I lied... that is 3 solutions.

At least you know it is working, can't remember a car i've had that had a silent air cond compressor.NOW I WOULD REALLY LIKE A CLUSTER WITH OIL PRESS AND WATER TEMP GAUGES!!!!!!

I juts bought a 2012 Sport MT…. it has the dunlops on it.. The car cannot track straight on the highway… its almost unsafe at this point, Its a brand new car so i wouldnt think it would need an alignment.. dont new cars come aligned??

I know these tires are complete and utter trash.. the car wont track straight!!!

Wish it had temp gauge, oil pressure etc…

carpet is cheap… Paint is very very cheap…

I feel like honda cut too many corners.. other then that its a pretty nice driving car…

i feel like honda's hey day was early to late 90s! I loved my 98 Acura Integra GSR!!

I haven't been bothered by any tracking problems at 70-75 MPH highway speeds on my '09 Sport with Dunlops. Don't just assume it's the tires. Have the dealer drive it to feel the problem and then tell them it needs to be corrected under warranty.

I drive a 2011 FIT sport M/T with the Dunlops, it drives straight and true along the not so great roads and expressways of San Juan PR.,It even surprised me, my Accord would not track as good. You may have one bad tire ruining everything, anyway I would take it back ASAP and have the Dealer figure it out.As for the other "things you don't like about your FIT, well,,it is the least expensive vehicle they build,(I think), so look at the bright side,, it is a great car once you get used to it,can't expect much more for the price.
