Tracking/AutoX Discussion
I purposely do my best to line up on the start with the LONGEST strait possible before the first turn
ANY course where I get to use "Rev launch" is a good one

Heck, when it comes to a Pro Solo style event with a drag tree start, so far my Fit is at least keeping up or ahead of 99% of the class competition with consistent 2.4< sec 60ft times
AND it's only going to get lighter and more powerful!
Still gotta work on that lose nut between the steering wheel and the seat
DSM,

, has done a HUGE amount of work with my car and my logs, and the car would not be what it is without his help and consistent support!!!

Constantly a work in progress
Seat time, coaching, rides in other cars and numerous day to day practices.
Like I said though, at a local event, with 213 entries, coming in 15th in PAX index times means I'm doing something right

Ah... Welcome back to the cool kids club... We got the bombest Kool-Aid and ish.
But in all seriousness though if you were to get yourself a hold of some Swift springs as well as a Progress RSB and camber bolts/OEM service bolts (and Flash Pro), you'll have one mighty fun daily driver. ^.^

wow i just found this thread, read several pages and makes me wanna get to the track, i haven't ever autoX'd but tracking both my cars is a hoot, i'm getting better but have alot to learn even after 3 seasons.
last year while trying to show a buddy(S2000) the fastest line around the 2.5 mile course in my CRX, i went around at over 90mph and learned i'm not as good as i thought i was (as i was driving the 200 feet back to the track thru the weeds), JCrim is the man when it comes to tracking and he might be correct when he says "trackers don't make good autoX'ers and vise versa" i did attend an autoX event here in SLC and i kinda wished i'd come prepared to run - it looks funner than i thought, but seems it would beat the hell out of the steering components. blazeorangefittuner dragged me out to the event and it was his first time (he was trying to impress his work mates that autoX their mazda 626's) and he put down times within 2 seconds of their times, not bad for a newb (lowered on eibach springs w/kosei k1's and 200TW tires) with half the power and no experience
thanks for the good read and i'm watchin this thread, maybe i'll link to my vids on youtube

yea, normally for track events you are required to have front windows down, this day it was an option to have passenger window down since it was a downpour all day. I thought i had held the button long enough as i was entering the track, but i guess not, lol. I prefer windows down, plus the Fit design keeps rain out usually when cruising. I have yet to have a non rainy track day this year, my Advan slicks are sad
Did really well with my brother co-driving the Fit this past weekend <imo>, gotta wait till Wednsday for the results to know for sure. But so far, from all the events this year that's was the best one in track layout, speed & event. My brother's best time was 62.466 while mine was a 62.046, but I got admit he help me alot with getting that time. < ways to keep some speed on a certain part of the track.
