adjusted the valves at about 130K and 135K;
replaced the plugs at about 140K (42 MPG improved to 48 with Pulstar iridium plugs);
done my own oil changes (Mobil 1 0W20 for 7,000 miles, AMSoil 0W20 for 15,000 miles, then M1 0W20 again).

All the mods in my signature are still there. EDIT: I removed the throttle controller after it threw a CEL one time.

Problems:

most of the HVAC lights and some radio lights are dead;
1st gear is hard to shift;
needs new brake fluid, and possibly trans fluid;
door dings need to be repainted;
red paint is fading noticeably to pink on up-facing surfaces;
front left tire is starting to rub on fender in moderate cornering;
brake rotors are very slightly warped;
clutch pedal has a small squeak;
headlights flicker a little;
roof seldom leaks in the rear;
and, for some reason, the ECU is not learning the long-term fuel trim.

The wheel that smacked a curb sideways while snow drifting has a cracked spoke, but that's aftermarket, and my fault.

It's all very small stuff which doesn't impact my daily driving, except for the ECU, which needs to be fixed so I can pass emissions.

-You say your headlights flicker and interior lights are dead..... what do you mean flicker? like pulsate with the idle of the car? like... wahwahwahwahwah? I know that sounds stupid to write out....

If you have a scanguage you should check your voltage, if its over like 15 consistently...... I would say replace your alternator... you will see the flicker go away, and stop burning out lights so quickly!

See my earlier post about my "voltage regulator".

To clarify: All the HVAC lights are gone, while the radio lights are okay. This happened before I bought the car, possibly due to the problem you mention.

I've been keeping an eye on the voltage with my ScanGauge, and so far it doesn't go above 14.5. Mostly, it hovers at 14.3 or 14.4 when charging, and 12-13 when not charging. I've noticed also that it may stop charging for a while, but start charging immediately while decelerating in gear. I believe this is called a smart alternator, and I like it.

Since discovering this behavior, I've made a concerted effort to use more engine braking to keep the battery charged at a higher level. The headlight flickering still gives me cause for concern, but I haven't noticed it as much in the last few days.

Incidentally, I replaced the driver's side headlight 3 times within about 6 months, but the other one is still working fine.

Wow, that's amazing, we have a 1995 Camry that only has 136,000 miles on it!

I haven't done much maintenance besides replacing the rotors with brembo drilled rotors because the warping the stock ones kept getting. Oil changes and filter changes is all i've really done. My brake fluid is looking pretty grimy I think I'm going to bring it somewhere to get it changes. Seems like a difficult task. Also when I was changing my brakes looks like my passanger side bleeder valve cap is gone. No big deal but it's gone :\ When I bring my car in for warranty repair I will have to ask them to put another one on.
go to honda if you bleed the brakes so if something goes wrong honda will not question they will just help you fix it faster without question if your under warranty

Grizzly, thanks for posting pics! Good to hear you haven't had any problems. I'm sure staying (mostly) stock is one of the many reasons why

It has been a good one...have not had to much to it. Right now I'm sitting on 273,000 miles. The only items that failed were the blower motor for the heater at about 240,000 miles and a front bearing at 200,000. Some of the other stuff I changed for PM are of course all the fluids lots of times, belt, plugs (@200,000) my battery at 240,000, one headlight at 273,000...few sets of brakes, rotors, and tires. Overall its been a great car. I have hauled lots of stuff in it, even 750 lbs on a half pallet forklifted in...and even getting average of 35-38 mpg.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LITTLE CAR (TRUCK)

Hmmph! I had to replace my blower motor at 134k miles. Expensive little buggers , but at least it only takes 8 minutes to change them out.
