57ish miles on my 2008 sport 5spd now. Been to every state in the South but South Carolina. Great little car esp since it's paid off.

Wife's '07 has 190k hard mountain miles. Coil packs, injectors replaced after weird stalling issue at about 100k. Dealer checked valves, flushed gas tank trying to figure it out. Changed tranny fluid once, going to do it again soon. Front rotors replaced. Had the door lock replaced after it jammed up, and now the ignition won't take the key. Apparently something to do with soft alloy used in the key that eventually clogs up the lock cylinders. Honda sells a kit that includes the ignition and door locks for about $700. I think a replacement (non-Honda) key would be a better investment.

2007 Sport 5SP MT - 101k miles, no major repair, just brakes, tires (once), air filter, using Synthetic oil with Fran XG oil filter. Shipping Fit to Dominican Republic (expensive gas US$5.80 gallon) in August 2012...

Love it - do not like the way the 2012 Fit feels..... :-(

66k-ish on my 08, if that's considered high. Mods for my GD are going to be suspended for the next couple of years until I get most of my credit card debt paid first. So for now, it will only be regular maintenance of the vehicle.

Sucks to be me.

Talking Mega Miles No Complaints

I own a Blue 2009 Sport. I have 159,000 miles on it and still it runs like dream. That being said all things that wear need to be adressed. I am on my third set of tires Yokohama 195/55R16 they have AA traction and heat.

I just replaced the denso iridium plugs with these kinda pricey Pulstars, hope they work as advertized. Running Typhoon short intake, Have a Colgan nose mask. The best fix for the bucks is removing the fuel injector yourself and having them ultrasonicly cleaned. I found the throttle response and high RPM had no drop off, HUGE sign your injectors spray pattern is off. Fullthrottle 95 MPH at about 5000 RPM the engined whezzed.

peace

Brakepad,

What do you mean by drop off? I have an 09 with 82,000 miles on it and while the throttle feels good my fuel trims are a bit wacky and at times the throttle blips and trims skyrocket when say tapping the gas. I also have a fuel smell coming in the vents from the engine bay. No leak, but honda wants me to monitor my injector seals.

That said I want to ask you how hard was it to remove the injectors yourself? I wanted to check the o rings and rule out the rail and injectors as the source of the vapor leak.

Sorry for the rant. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Bought mine with 7k and now it has 115k. Only have done ref oil changes, tranny fluid, and air filter. Only gripes r about the bottom of all the doors started to rust and headlights r stating to have that hazel fade effect.

I have about 200,000 miles on my 2007 Fit, and I will buy another one when this one wears out! I am experiencing my first breakdown and could use some help!

Dealer says the fuse box is shorting, causing a constant 12 V to stay on after keyed off. Says over time it burnt out my fuel pump.

Prognosis: $1,350 bucks! New lower wiring harness, new engine harnes, new fuse box and a fuel pump!

Does this sound right to anyone else?

That's a lot of miles to travel in three years. (Maybe a thousand a week?). Just curious how you managed so many miles?

Hey all, I have about 73,500 on my 2007 Fit. I've done regular maintenance (oil, filters, tire rotation, check fluid); replaced the bearing for my left wheel (hit a huge bump on the road); replaced my tires once (not counting 2 spare changes); and replaced a couple of rear and signal lights.

The main issue with my Fit was that early on (15k miles +/-) my ECU would trip out, displaying all of my lights (check fluids, especially the check engine). The mechanics would code it #U0155 (F-CAN Malfunction). I wasn't about to pay for a whole new computer, so they reset it; and the lights pop up every now and again, but it doesn't hurt my car at all. I'm just worried that I won't pass the smog check, or that I wouldn't get a proper 'check engine' read. Have any of you had that before?

I installed a Morrosso spiral flow muffler 2 1/2 int diameter and had it sized down to fit the factory pipe inbound found it lost some take off pep and had the out bound reduced to a 2 inch (also reduced some excess rumble inside) that with my performance air filter improved fuel mileage on the highway 3 miles per gallon!

We have 160,000 KM on our 2008 company FIT, and it runs great. Only thing I need is a new speaker, the one in the front door is blown. What do you guys recommend.. OEM or aftermarket?
