Really? I'm at 166,000km and no such issues. I know I could use a valve adjustment anyways.

Hit 170k on my 08 today. To be honest,I've done very little maint. other than regular oil changes. 1 battery, 1 front brake pads / rotors, one trans sensor(fluke), 2 tranny fluid changes 4 the set of tires. No coolant or brake flushes, so I probably need to do that ASAP.

I'm wondering about my rear brake shoes. They are original. I bought new shoes at 100k when I did the pads, but the old shoes looked very good so I didn't change them. This is how mine look now at 170k. I still don't see the need to change the shoes.

Update: Just turned 260k on my 07 Storm Silver Sport Manual. A/C was intermittently blowing warm air. Dealer adjusted the A/C clutch for $100 and all is well and cold again. Daughters 07 Blaze Orange Sport Manual just turned 110K.

227k miles on my Blackberry Pearl 08 Fit Sport AT. Biggest upkeep has been tires, about to buy my 4th set.

Only a few emergency repairs: Vtec solenoid and transmission relay.

Just did the coil packs last week, runs great again.

SPC: tell me that wasn't the very first time you changed out your coil packs, was it?

It was. Only did it after misfires. I feel ashamed.

@ 99k, tramission mount and rear motor mount completely shot. not sure about the other hydraulic motor mount, which sells for $200. If you got a 100k miles, I say inspect them all!

Just bought an 07 sport with 150k. What kind of oil is everyone using on their high mile fits?

I'm still on my original coils at 60k miles on my 2007 Fit. Should I change 'em?

I use Amsoil 5W20 and go 15k miles between changes (could go 25k but the oil filter is the limiting factor). If you do a lot of driving, it's cheaper to pay to be a 'distributor' to get about 25% off their prices.

I know synthetic oil last longer than conventional, but 15k sounds like a long time. Do you get your amsoil locally or is there a site that you get them from. Thanks for the input.

I may have spoke too soon. I believe I do have mount issues.

mount inspection

Just wanted to know if anyone could share what to look for when inspecting a mount....with 123k on the odo, I'd like to check them out but just looking at them doesnt reveal much. If I take it to a mech, they can BS me. Also, I'd like to replace them myself...

The rear engine mount is hard to see and inspect. I would look for obvious cracking, dry rotting, or deformation of the rubber mount. The one that was broken for me was my transmission mount.

To inspect the transmission mount simply remove the left front wheel, remove one or two fender liner clips/screws located above the wheel hub assembly and gently bend back the liner. It will reveal the transmission mount which is fragile and prone to tearing and collapsing. It is easy to replace.

I purchase Amsoil products online (AMSOIL - Synthetic Oil, Motor and Engine Oil, Lubricants, Air Filters, Oil Filters and Greases) and get them shipped to my house. The specific viscosity for the Fit is below: (also in prior post)

Top right, hydraulic valve, look for cracks and oil leaks.
See the crack and wet oil mark?

190k.......coil packs, 3 sets of spark plugs, tons of tires, oil every 20k miles....daily driver...

Never done a valve adjustment, clutch, radiator flush, trans fluid, etc. Haven't washed the car in over a year either haha

About to start throwing together a turbo kit for it since I sold my cts-v... and just wanna waste some money until I figure out what my next weekend car will be.
