Had an '08 5spd Sport I bought in April 2012 that got totaled back in Nov. 2014 with 111k. Got 9700 from insurance and bought the same exact color '07 Sport 5spd the next month with 184k for 2800. Now at 206k and still running like a champ. I figured since I still have the leftover money from the insurance, if anything major goes wrong engine-wise, I'll just buy a used one on ebay since they're so cheap haha.
This is the most practical car I've ever owned and I don't see a need to get any other lol

Just opened an account (long time reader, though), to let the world know that I joined the 100k Fit mileage club last week.
Fit Sport 2008, purple, MT. The only issue it's ever had is a wheel bearing, the rest is just maintenance. The tiny battery is a hassle now that I live in NJ (Carolinas before that), and I plan to install a bigger one for next winter, but other than that it's an OEM Fit running like a champ after 100k.
My favorite car ever.

390,000+ kms
I got a 2007 Fit just over a month ago, put over 7000 Kms on it. It's now over 390,000 Kms. Wish I knew the guy that owned it first to know its history but the first thing we'll have to do to it is recharge the AC and see if there are any leaks.
I had to learn to drive standard with it so hopefully I didn't wear it out too much.

Ours is definitely burning oil but I keep a close eye on it and will be doing oil changes frequently. I found a recharge kit for 60 bucks, it looks easy enough to do.

If you really want to fix it so you don't have to mess with it again, you need to find where the refrigerant leaked out. Make sure the stuff you buy contains UV dye (it's common that they do). That way, you can look around at night with a black light and find where the leak is.

260,000 miles and still my daily driver
I have a 2007 Honda Fit Sport with over 260K miles on it and it is still my daily driver. Only changed the coil packs in the last year and regular oil changes every 10,000 miles. This car still runs like a sewing machine!
I just bought a new 2016 Honda Odyssey and might need to sell my Fit to make room in the driveway but I LOVE this car! I don't think I can let go of it. I just bought a 2004 Miata 5 speed, and honest to god, I like the Fit just as much.

Cheapest I found was for $90... DO NOT BUY RECHARGE KITS. They're filled with propane and not R134a. You have to be professionally licensed to deal with actual refrigerant.
#352
Of course they contain R134A refrigerant.
You don't have to be licensed to use one.
You might, in some states, be encouraged to have ASE certification if you are employed in the business of auto repair, and we all know there are plenty who work without no licence/certification.

damn almost hitting 210k and the a/c compressor went out. I didn't even get to use it once since I bought the car :9
my mechanic said it would cost $400 for the part and $400 for labor because it is a 4.5 hour job. With taxes in I'm looking at 1050 cad all in with taxes.
I've looked on ebay that had the clutch unit for the compressor for only $150 cad if I wanted to gamble on the mechanic just changing the clutch of the unit. But not sure if that is less labor intensive.

looks promising

high miles 2007 fit
255,000 so far. nothing outside of ordinary, coils, plugs, etc. Air conditioner out, but not worth replacing compressor in New York climate. Misfires only recurring problem, causing engine light to come on, usually solved by a tank of premium every 3rd fill plus Castle injector cleaner & reset.
