Just found this thread.

I'm at 182K miles on my 07 sport auto.

numerous oil changes, always mobile 1 5w20 and bosch filter
4 transmission fluid changes and 4 filter changes
two driver side engine mounts (on transmission)
three sets of plugs and coils
one valve adjustment at 110k miles
front brakes numerous times
one starter
two alternators

pretty much just regular maintenance.

That's a lot of parts at 180K.
What wears out your brake pads so fast?
What alternators did you use and at what mileage they failed?

No suspension work? Battery, cv boots?
Does engine consume any noticeable amount of oil?

looking good so Far!!!

My 08 fit has just over 90,ooo miles on it, It still has the same battery, has a pipe on it and runs Great, I had American cars mostly, so I'm not to trusting of what the factory suggests. I'm setting aside money now, so my fit can get a 2nd breath Proper Like. My 2nd car in a long list, was a Old's cutlass supreme, What a car! the Fit still beats it in brains , but not the Quarter Mile, but of course I Knew that when buying. So Far I'm Impressed.

Just broke 100k with my 2008

I just broke 100K with my 2008. The only major repairs were the ignition coils and valve adjustment. Otherwise just maintenance: oil, trans, etc.. Everything else seems to be doing well.

Just hit 93k on my 09 sport. Routine oil, two transmission fluid changes, new tires at 80k (i think they were stock), new front brake pads at 86k (ceramic), and a new battery winter of 2013. No other issues

Though i am interested to know about the valve adjustment, if theres a minder that comes up or not

And my tmps light has been on since about 75k miles

Unless you're putting some crazy mileage on your car (60k miles every year), you're going way overboard with MT fluid changes. You don't need to change your MT fluid anywhere near as often as you change your engine oil.

I am at 215K miles and no minder for valve adjustment. Last week got a quote from the dealer on valve adjustment (never had it done) and idler pulley + belt change - $500 (5 hrs). I don't have time to learn the ins-and-outs of valve adjustment so thinking that $500 isn't a bad price.

Just hit 230k km this week. Closing in on 50k km in that last year since I bought the car. Only major problem Iv had was my steering wheel lock wouldn't unlock when I tried starting the car.

My 2007 Sport mileage

My 2007 Honda Fit Sport 5spd current mileage is 222206. The only problems I had so far is one coil pack at maybe 173k miles, battery, and now the A/C just started to blow hot and then cold at random. As far as anything else I just started getting a clunking sound from my suspension which I drive off road everyday for parking at work which I believed caused this problem. Other than that just addressing the recalls. FIT POWER lol

Your suspension is going. Mine blew at 178,000km. I had your issue with the noise for 2 years. Then 2 weeks ago the noise was so bad, so loud, and was constant.

I replaced with HSD coils.

I am now at 179,000km. Biggest repair was 4 spark plugs but thats maintenance and 1 coil pack plus the suspension. A/C, I do not use. Oh and my battery wire, the ground snapped in half. but that was an $8 part.

So here is what I've had to do
2 coil igniter s around 200k
spark plugs 4 times
all struts.175k due again
front brakes 5times n rotors 3 times
Belt just did at 332k half gone
3rd gear tranny switch 285k
anti freeze once
tranny fluid once
one headlight n one taillight
One sway bar. Other needs done
I change tires once a year as i wear them out
Change air filter every 15-25k
My schedule is i rotate tires n change oil every 6k
i use high mileage oil. Filter brand doesn't matter. I use 16oz marvel mystery oil every oil change n other 16oz goes into gas tank
i also use lucas fuel cleaner every once n awhile

Things i havnt done which i should?
back brakes but not worn out
hoses still look ok to me

140k so far
oil every 3-6k depending on how quickly I put the miles on
ATF once
Coolant once
Spark plugs twice

I guess I should be changing the coils soon? And doing a valve adjustment? What's the latter for, and how can you tell if you need to do it?
