referring to my previous post, yes and yes

Under full acceleration, the shift would happen with a loud vibration (over resonation inside the intake i presume), now with the SRI, that is no more the case.

As far as the chip is concerned, it's a sub $100 ecu safe chip, just seeing how it functions, not expecting 13 second miles lol

After much bored testing, I finally figured out where all the cold air was hiding in this engine bay. It's in front of the battery and to the side of the radiator. This causes the air to come from the foglight/fender area at near ambient with little to no 'heat soak'. Best part of this config is that it only needs 1 45 degree bend.

This probably wont work with the stock battery but hey you have room to upgrade to damn near anysize battery you want now that the airbox is gone.

where do u think the cold air is comming from? i blocked off the rad so all air thru the front has to pass thru it. i have a little scoop from the grill thru to the air filter and i have my "ram" from my fog light housing. do u think im still in the "cold spot"

so i pretty much went through with it. and i love it. the only thing is that after about 15 miles of driving, my check engine light went on. did anyone else experience this? any ideas on what it could be?

Could be an air leak somewhere, or it could be your MAF sensor has failed (Doubt it), or you did not use the original MAF tube. Some people say it's because it's backward, but I actually tried to put it in backwards and it's impossible. It could be for something else. One really cold night my CEL came on, and come to find out it was just the gas cap.

For anyone following this thread looking to just buy one of these and are familiar with the modifications I have done to my version, I am selling my intake and heatshield. Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions Thanks!

Did this the other day, everything was fine until I made one snip (about .25" long) with the wire cutters and the MAF tube cracked in half. I highly suggest to people to use a hand saw the whole time to avoid this from happening. Hope this helps.

No fun! Deleted mention of wire cutters on main post. Hope you were able to make it work.

Has anyone done this DIY using a MAF adapter like this one Spectre Performance
instead of cutting up the OEM air box...

It would seem to make sense, save some work sanding the OEM part and keep the original intake intact...
