So what's with the harness? Are you replacing, upgrading, rerouting it?

It came off the k20z3 I just bought. So it's actually the engine and charge harness for a 2008 civic SI.

I'm just getting familiarize with it, see what plugs go where, do what. That's why I bought a helms manual.

I might be trying to use a s2000 or racepak iq3 gauge cluster if I can't retain my OE day function, but for the time being, that's the goal.

Oil change to 0w-20 Honda oil. Used sample is ready to send to Blackstone. Who the heck though that putting the oil fill location under the cowl?

I'll be changing the ATF to start getting the new formula in as soon as I pick up a long stem funnel.

I don't know how applicable it'll be to anyone else. I change based on time rather than the MM; I get to 1 year before I get to 15%. 6000 miles, 40% left on the MM this time. It'll pick up this next year when my toddler starts preK. But even that's ~10 miles round trip.

Regardless, I'll post results when I get them.

Basically it shows how the oil holds up. If you include mpg it will give an idea how the oil handles the fuel too. Your right about being applicable to other cars because every situation is different but still interested.

After seeing above posts feel my mods today are a little lame. hardest thing was making a lens removal tool so as not to break the lucite.
Installed LED's today, happened to be in the Fit last week trying to check something in the manual and discovered I couldn't see with available lights, now I can see and read the print. Changed map lights, overhead and while I was at it the cargo area light, but it will take some modification as a recessed light facing down would be better if it was mounted at a better angle.
Last week was more of a challenge taking off front end and bumper to install tow baseplate, brake cables, installing and wiring new rear lights. Hardest part was drilling the firewall at the right place, couldn't see what was on engine side so had to remove air cleaner.

ATF drain and fill. Fluid looked ok, slightly dark but not bad. Drain plug had a fair amount of metal shavings that looked more or less like everyone else's pictures that I've seen. That said, whoever was responsible for setting the fluid change values for the Service Manual should have his eyes inspected. 2.6 qts was still almost a quart low. Oil change values weren't as bad, but it still took a full 4 qts instead of the 3.8 the manual says.

There's always going to be a little gap between the recommended fluid capacity and the "filled to the brim" capacity, if that's what you did. I'd say 0.2 qts would be that gap. I've always put the 3.8 qts of oil in mine and it's absolutely fine. Can't compare on the tranny fluid because I have M/T, but when I changed mine a few months back I think it took damn close to the recommended amount.

No problem. First off, I have a Tanabe Touring Medallion EU axleback and an Injen SRI with an upgraded KnN filter.

After installing the downpipe, the VTEC hits way harder and the sound is more audible. No drone in the cabin and that's partly due to the axleback being quiet, which is a plus. Low end wasn't affected, it just increased mid-range.

It's great to have! I'm considering their b-pipe to see if it will help a bit more.

Black on Ivory Clazzio Covers

I have had them for about a month and was finally able to get some pictures today. Better late than never I suppose. Here is a sneak preview to entice you into clicking the link above.
