Where did you pick those up mats from?

Only complaint is no Prime 2-day shipping lol. I'll be patient and save $50 tyvm. Guess I'll have my good condition stock mats up for sale soon. =)

Yeah Im pretty happy with them so far. Our boxer is happy too. They have a bit more cushion than the oem mats.

Had to replace the breather hose that came with my HPS intake. It had frayed and fallen off the engine side, and frayed on the intake side. I always wondered why HPS didn't just include a silicone hose as part of the kit, since their main product line is silicone hoses.

Mine didn't actually fall off but had a similar problem. Noticed a whistle as I descended in a parking garage & when I checked I saw the cracked hose. Mine was on the intake side of the hose.

What paint is that? Plastic paint almost never looks that nice.

I mentioned it on TFC, but I'll say it here, too: Last payment cleared on Saturday! I'm so glad to have that off my plate.

The mods are already coming in the mail. We're starting small, but soon enough there will be some of the good stuff on the way. Tax time is soon, too...

Start installing my JDM RS Rear Axle with disk brake conversion since around 11am yesterday morning,
just finished about 1 hour ago... 1:30am so it took me 14.5 hours...
well, actually not finished yet since I had not installed the parking brake cable...

This is the modification that took the longest for me...
I bought this RS rear axle on April 2013...
so it took me 34 months before I finally install it hahaha...
the reason is I need to install front Brembo first because
If I install the larger rear disk brake without the front Brembo,
it might lock up the rear...

the rear disk rotor diameter is 13.08in so
it balance nicely
front and rear (with the front being 355mm (14in) brembo rotor)...
it also fill the wheel spoke nicely...

I will post pictures soon... too tired now...

oh by the way, I test drive and
now the brake is much easier to modulate...
and the car stop even faster... no drama at all
and the pedal travel is almost the same

I also tried to do some corner balancing on my own,
just a rough one not an accurate one,,,

and also put 15mm spacer on the rear axle,
so the car now is even more stable

oh, I think the car feel more stable also because I fill the main rear axle bushing with urethane
and I also put the Spoon Rigid Collar set for the rear axle...
plus I replace and tighten (torque) all bolt that hold the rear axle and the rear shock absorber
plus from my feeling when I lift the rear drum brake axle (with the drum brake)
and the JDM RS rear axle with my 2 piece rotor (aluminum central willwood hat),
the JDM RS rear axle actually feel lighter then the USDM rear drum brake...
I might be wrong, but that is how I feel...
well, my rear caliper is also ALUMINUM so it is light (it is the OEM JDM DC5 Integra Type R rear (red) caliper),
maybe that is why...
the stock JDM RS rear rotor (1 piece steel) and steel caliper is heavy though...

the only thing I kinda regret is I bought the EBC greenstuff (the lowest friction one),
because I was worry of rear wheel lock up,...
and that greenstuff brake pad really have green color so it is kinda too bright with the rear red caliper...
as soon as this brake pad run out, I will either buy the red EBC so it match the caliper...

OK, I really need to sleep now,
my car might be more stable,
but my head feel very unstable now hahaha

I am thinking about it,
It just that the caliper came painted red from the factory,
and I don't feel like replacing factory paint, but I will think about it...

Hi Connor55,
this particular modifications is one of my last unfinished business since 2013... so the truth is I am at a very slow pace

I was kinda wondering how you'd get pads for the rear brakes, but being that they're from a DC5, it's probably a common part # among aftermarket companies.

As for using GreenStuff pads, I think it's better to play it safe at first. If the rears did overwhelm the fronts, you'd be risking the rear end coming loose under hard braking. In an emergency, that could spell disaster. You can always change them later now that you know it isn't going to be a problem.

Totally agree, that is why I start with the Green Stuff pads,
but at this moment, I feel safe to change to higher friction pads because
the weight transfer to the front is minimal now...
and the ABS activate much later then before,

anyway,

here are some pictures of the installed system,

Im wondering if that extra braking power will affect how vsa acts since it was calibrated for stock brakes

Hi Connor, I don't think the extra braking power will effect the VSA much,
since and once it apply the brake and the car do not lose traction anymore,
it will let go again...
beside the brake bias is more balanced now instead of heavy front brake bias like while it was stock and my tire is much larger and stickier then stock
(Michelin Pilot Super Sport)... plus my Ohlins spring rate at 7k front and 4k rear really help make the car have less nose dive and nose up during braking or acceleration...
it already positively effecting the ABS by making it activate much less then before... so most likely it will also react better when the VSA activate...

I guess I will find out more when I put the supercharger and
the car make more horsepower and easier to activate VSA...

at the current stock engine,
I can not force the car to lose traction (and activate the VSA) (my car is automatic) no matter how hard I launch it in the dry...
