What did you do to your GE fit today?
Yes thats pretty much exactly what i did. Im not 100% sure if the guys that did the film used alcohol to clean it off though. I just left it to them to clean/prep the surface how they wanted.
For you, you could get the meguiars headlight restoration kit for like 20 bucks and sand it down using the included pads then buff it out with plastx included in the box. The uv sealant is also included. The film is more to protect against rock damage and doesnt really provide its own UV protection. Not sure if rocks are a problem in your area, but if it isnt you dont reallly need the film.

But I just want to prevent the sun from fading and yellowing my headlights. Its like a form of sun screen for the headlights, and I hear the UV film is really good, but with the turn signal bulb nobody sells a single piece kit.
Sorry for the rant, I just really don't know why honda used such a crappy headlight design where 60% of the headlight is completely exposed on top to the sun.
^yeah ive seen that in many places that get a lot of sun. Even up here i was starting to get some sunlight fade on my old headlights.
Im not sure honestly if theres a permanent solution to fixing that problem. You might find companies that claim to provide a permanent way of preventing fading but not sure how legit it is. Best thing is to sand off the oxidized material and coat it with UV sealant. Reapply the sealant every month or so or whatever the bottle says on it. You might also be able to find UV film as opposed to rock/chip protection film.
Hope that helps

Finished up my front and rear camera installations. They're so cheap at $15 I figured why not. Helps with parallel parking and parking blocks since the car is so low! Best part is they look totally OEM and hidden
Rear

A little more vertical than is like but all I want to know is how close my bumper is anyway

Front

I wired the bypass on my pioneer HU so I can have the camera on while car is in motion

No more wondering how close I am to things!

The reverse camera is powered by the reverse light bulbs wires and triggered by a tap on the camera's positive lead. The HU harness has a trigger wire that just needs to be spliced to a +12v source. So once you go into reverse it sense that the camera is now on and juice is flowing and automatically switches to rear cam, then back to radio screen after.
The front cam is constantly powered through an add a fuse on the accessory slot in the cabin and grounded to chassis. The front cam uses the AV input on the HU (for DVDs, game consoles, etc) so when I'm pulling up to an obstacle I just push AV on the HU to switch to it.

Haha do it! Just be wary not just any backup cam can be a front cam because your image would be reversed. Look for ones that specifically say front cam or both. They usually have a wire that needs to be snipped or connected to switch it from front (regular image) to rear (reverse image)
Here is the camera I got and the fuses I used.

Nicely done! Whenever I get around to switching to a DVD Receiver I'll keep this in mind. My only gripe is that the lines aren't parallel to the ground on the rear cam, but it makes sense as to why you have it angled that way. Also, is there a way you can use your head unit as a DVR, so that the front cam could be a "dash" cam? I feel like that would make this even more worth it.

My hu doesn't have a dvr function, but with a signal splitter

And a small dvr unit you could rig something up easily!

Well, I didn't really do anything to my GE today, since I don't even have it with me in college, but I did pick out some new wheels
I'm thinking about the XXR 530 (I've wanted these for about 2 years now), but I'm torn with wheel size and width. My tires are still pretty new, and I feel like they'll last quite a while. So, unless I wanted to buy a new set of tires now (which I don't), I'm limited to 16" wheels. That leaves me with 16x8 +20 for the 530's. I know this fitment is possible, but it would require quite a bit of fender work and some small tires (at least with how low I currently am). My current tires are 205/50's, which would not work very well with my current ride height. So, it looks like I'll be waiting awhile for wheels, because really the only option that will look good is to get smaller tires. Or I could ditch 16's altogether and go for 17's. So many options...

Well that answers that.
Not a bad idea at all. Thanks for looking into that for me

Headlights closed up after polishing inside and out, clear bra on the outside and uv sealant on the inside. Whew. Now they look like proper RS headlights. Oh and i finished wrapping film on the foglights as well.
Day off today so I took a clip of me playing with air.
Max height --> air out --> driving height --> airout --> max height --> air out.
It's awesome not worrying about what project site I might be sent to-- and still getting to enjoy the look of being low lol.

Those are $exy!!!! Me likey a lot! Love that they do not have the signal bump. Are those drop in replacements or do they fall into your whole JDM front end conversion plans?
Edit: I see the little bump on the bottom inside by the grill section...think that answers my question and they will not work for USDM...BOOOOO!

Thanks! The design flows much nicer than the usdm ones in my opinion haha.
They will not fit on usdm without some serious mods to the fenders and grille. These are part of my eventual plan to convert the front end to jdm rs mugen. I want to eventually put my projectors and halos in the headlights, and possible orange side reflectors.

Thanks man! Haha yea, parking height has got to be my favorite. Handling is awesome! With the driving height, I no longer worry about scraping or rubbing; I still have to mess with the dampeners but the amount of psi I have in the bags still gives it a sporty ride but smoother than my old setup on coilovers with higher spring rates. It's much more stable now I think because the suspension geometry is much more closer to specs at driving height. All in all, the best upgrade I've done by far haha.

Only things I can justify at this point are wilwood brake calipers when brakes are due, coilovers, maybe a wrap/dip to hide all my paint chips from the previous owners and thats about it.

I think I'll stick to my eventual Bilstein coilovers. I like my trunk space

You need to make a GIF for your signature of it raising and lowering haha.
Well, the pockets are empty now lol... I am debating between bilsteins or a set up similar to burzpaw. Comfort is important to me so im still on the swifts for now. But id love to have lower ride height most of the time.
Just stumbled across the perfect wheel (IMO, and for under $1k). The 949Racing 6UL. It's designed for the new (2016+) Miata. The 17x8 weighs 14.8lbs, and it has a 45mm offset. Seems pretty solid to me. I think I may work my way up to these
