car looks great! Diffuser looks nice

I’ve been holding off on the jdm emblems but was doing a bunch of research on which ones fit the rear. I’ve heard mixed results. Can you confirm the part number or from which car’s emblems you used?

ill post some pics along the way. There’s easier ways to retro but I’m using tl projectors that are not the easiest to fit and make pretty.

Maybe I’ll start a build thread at some point so I don’t hog up posts in this thread.

The other day I replaced the electromagnetic clutch component for the AC compressor. That lasted about half a day as the pulley bearing was shot and decided to let go. The clutch assembly is on the way. The bigger circlip was so tough that it snapped one of my circlip pliers. If the compressor goes out, I'm going AC-less.

The fan resistor had popped as well. The cabIn filter was so clogged that the drag put enough load on the fan to kill it. Woops.

I put Innovative engine mounts in as well. I like them. It vibrates intensely at idle, gets loud below 3K RPM, and it's much the same at cruise. The improved shifting and reduced front suspension pitchiness under load makes it worth it. It's also a lot easier to rev match on downshifts when you can actually hear and feel the engine.

I got the girlfriend's 289,000 mile Scion XB going in the meantime. It is not the best ride, but it will not quit.

Weather was a bit better (not 110° F) so I went to the park to chill. Took a few pics too.

Just thinking about perfecting my suspension....I want to go with stiffer and slightly higher springs in the rear to prevent bottoming out, currently have DF210 and rear rate is 2.0 kg/mm or like about 112 lbs/in and the drop is 1.8" - The TEIN S.Tech rear springs is 2.4kg/mm or like about 134 lbs/in and the drop is 1.6". The higher spring rate and very slightly higher ride height AND trimming a 1/4" from the already cut bump stops will I think (in theory) eliminate bottoming out when fully loaded with passengers. So if anyone wants to trade rear springs or sell just their TEIN S.Tech rear springs or if I can get a really good price I'll take someone else's entire set.

I was reminded of the car’s existence after dailying the S2000 for a week. Looking forward to driving the Fit again, much cheaper and less stressful.

Installed the Sony XAV-AX1000 today. The past owner had an Android carplay setup and removed it prior to selling the car. I bought the car with wanting to upgrade the stock headunit. The install was super straightforward, my only hurdle was looking for that damn screw under the headunit, only to find out 20 minutes later that it wasn't reinstalled to begin with by the past owner when the Android headunit was removed from the car.
I purchased it from Crutchfield after signing up and receiving the notification that the unit was finally back in stock, but they only had under 50 to in stock so I jumped on it right away. I purchased it with the recommended Metra Kit and harness to keep the steering controls. Also went with their ready harness for plug n play install, it made everything a breeze.

The past owner had an existing rear backup cam from the old android unit so I went ahead and tapped into that and used that as well. Still looking to find a permanent home for the mic but so far all is working well!

Barely. I put Swift Springs and Koni orange on the car last summer.

I am not a fan of the tall ride height, but that’s subjective. They also do not ride as nicely as other people on this site claim. And thanks!

thanks! i got my rear jdm badge from https://www.icbmotorsport.com/jdmhoge8fit01.html. i found the link floating around here in fitfreak and it seems legit to me .
It doesnt sit all the way flush because the trunk garnish curves in a-little but its not noticeable unless you look really close. Im sure if you apply some heat you could form it better.

thank you! i am lowered on tein flex z, but im looking to upgrade to stiffer springs because i found the teins to be too soft with my fit lowered and my front scraping everywhere. i believe tein flex z is only 4k front / 2k rear.
Im looking at getting 6k front / 4k rear bc racing coilovers.

oh and heres my fit posted in front of the torreto house from fast and furious movie 😂

haha nice pic. Ok, thanks! Yea they are legit. Pretty sure I bought my set of emblems for another car from ICB and they still look good 6+ years later (with the exception of the front being chipped). Didnt turn yellow like the fake crap I seen on other cars

As an S2000 owner myself, I totally understand where you're coming from. Love having the s2000 insured, but is definitely more stressful than with the Fit lol

Have you seen the shorty antenna for the Fit? I dig the hell out of the look.
