Lights look great! Am looking to purchase some for my 2013 as well, do you mind me asking how much they cost? I'm guessing around $800 USD.

Also is there a kit for how you did your front license plate? Been looking to modify mine like this as well. Sick Fit!!!

Drivers side wheel bearing and lowered front BC coils half an inch for slight rake...and probably more wheel scrubbing.

Completed an ignition tune-up today at 179k mi. Last week it developed a ragged miss and stumble under partial load, and set a Cyl 1 misfire code. The coils were the original factory-installed Hitachis, amazing they lasted this long. Last plug change was done at a local Tampa FL Honda dealer at 75k mi. Whoever put them in needs to learn how to use a torque wrench!!! They were bubba-wrenched way over 20 lbs, but fortunately survived with no thread issues. The crush washers on some were actually deformed into the plug threads by some clown in a hurry. A fresh set of Hitachi coils and NGK Ruthenium HX plugs from Rockauto completed the job, with a gob of dielectric grease in each coil boot. The windshield cowl removal was easier than I had expected. Pull up to unclip the outer trim ends, 3 wiper motor mount bolts and a handful of 10mm holding the cowl pan on. The coil connectors were a pain to remove, holding the release tab and wiggling them off. After replacing plugs and coils, I checked the EGR valve and cleaned out some carbon buildup out with carb spray. Wasn't having an issue there, but it had never been done previously. Runs perfect now, got rid of the terrible stumble and the misfire code cleared itself. The NGK Iridiums I removed looked good with just over 100k on them, nice light brown burn.

Decent burn after just over 100k miles on a set of Iridiums

EGR port hadn't been cleaned, so a good bet it wouldn't hurt to spray it out good

Some carbon buildup, not blocked, but gave it a good cleaning with carb spray

NGK Rutheniums have a nice set of fine tip electrodes that should fire very well

Iridiums were last put in at 75k miles

Replacement Hitachi coils from Rockauto

The latest from NGK

The factory OEM Hitachi coils made it over 179k miles before one started acting up. Not too bad!

Public Service Announcement!

So i have this in a previous post about my bearing change (on facebook:trufitcrew) ..but think it warrants its own post. Bought this combo from the ebay seller "Worldpartspro". The bearing fit but the hub does not slide all the way down the axle. Looks same as original but my guess is it wasnt machined properly.

So i just passed the return window, and the seller does not want to refund me or take the part back. Top it of they keep trying to convince me its the right part. Yea missing the return window is my fault...along with assuming they sent the correct part.

Anyways trying to fight it for less than $50 (i used the bearing) is not worth any more of my time. Lesson learned on my end. Just figured id post this to save my fellow Fit enthusiast the frustration.

Screenshot of seller and ebay listing below.

At the Honda Meet this past weekend. Got to see a lot of old friends and some new ones. Gotta love the Fit community, always a pleasure speaking with everyone.

That same week i was able to pickup a mugen rear bumper for a good price. its in good condition, just need to get it repainted alabaster silver and ill need to use a different exhaust as my hks exhaust is way too big for the exhaust opening lol. Might end up using my stock exhaust for now.

How are you liking these headlights? About to pull the trigger and get on the schedule. Happy? They look 🔥 but do they work well?

Pulled a fuse

Pulled the VSC fuse and killed the stability control and ABS. It’s suddenly exactly like all my previous Civics. Now to take apart the gauge cluster and kill annoying lights. Im thinking of covering them with a smoke colored gel like window tint to so I can still see when they are on but right now they are distractingly bright at night.

Next I’m going to actually wire a switch to be able to turn it back on during certain slushy situations where I’d like to be able to choose between my own rally skills and the cars. I’ll post pictures when there’s something to look at.

@macksgarage I think the owner's manual shows how to dim the dash display without, unless otherwise desired, getting gooped. I dimmed mine, just forget how 😂
