Rattling

Few days after installing the Yonaka cat back, heard some rattling so went under to check everything again. A few were a little loose, so hopefully that was the cause.

try not to blow up your transmission, fits don’t have a towing capacity and also highly advise against it.

I also have a Yonaka, sounds bad ass for a 4cyl! Tap on the heat deflector as mine rattled years ago and was a known issue on some. The zip tie is still holding after 8 years lol.

A PNW heat waves this week with no AC so had to troubleshoot and my clutch relay took a poop. Relay box really hard to find on a fit, thanks Honda!

Duckbill

Found some time to install the duckbill. Just need to find time to install the swifts and konis to make the gap reasonable.

Jumped her off (needs new battery, will upgrade to 51R, aired up the tires, and took her for a wash. Paint is a little dull, but I'll get her detailed here soon. She'd been sitting for a while when I picked her up, original one owner car too. Need to replace wheel bearings on both sides, got the parts already, just need the time.

New tires, went from 205/40/17 to 205/45/17. This is on 17x7 +40 and lowered in Tein Basis Z. Raised it up to a finger and a half gap all around, based on the threads of the Tein probably about 1.5” down. Got it aligned BACK to factory specs from super duper camber and I’m happy to report no rubbing unless I really try (went at a big speed bump at 40mph lol) - for reference I’m 220lbs. The ride is so much nicer it’s like a new car.

yeah I was really nervous going from 40 to 45 series, but after raising it and getting a good alignment guy that sweated over it with me, I’m pleased with the results. Doesn’t look as aggressive but the drive ability is night and day
