2015 Dealer Price...and What You Paid
The Environmental Conservation Law imposes a $2.50 per tire waste tire and recycling fee on sales of most new tires sold at retail within New York State. The Tax Department is responsible for administering the collection of the fee.
So I helped my BIL and his wife negotiate on a CBP 2015 fit EX CVT.
MSRP: 19025
Got 850 + 200 off (discount + Honda Family discount).
Full extended warranty (5 year 100 000 mile honda care)
OTD price: 21 609.
How'd we do?
(Disclaimer/Prior history: In August 2014 I negotiated 21369 OTD for a 2014 Accord Sport 6M/T for myself).

Honda Fit Lx Manual
Hi all,
I went this morning to a dealer with the intention of buying a fit but they refused my last offer
Here the details:
Honda Fit Lx Manual : $15,525 + Destination and handling $790 = Total MSRP $16,315
On the top of this they wanted $499 for Customer Service Fee (doc fee, etc..)
More the additional TN taxes + licence plates fee (around $1250)
So my offer was $15800 (i.e. roughly the Total MSRP $16,315 minus the Customer Service Fee). They refused it
What do you think?
I think I was reasonable, considering the Customer Service Fee they wanted on the top of Total MSRP...
I really want this car, the LX manual is quite scarce here in Tn, but I'm afraid of being ripped off...
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Got my 2015 Fit August 22
Hi there, I ordered mine on August 8 and received it August 22. I paid $19,025 which was the price on the window which included "Destination & Handling Fees." I know I didn't get a bargain and basically paid the "sticker price".
I was nervous about all the electronics and decided to purchase the extended warranty because of that. It was $744 for an extra 3 years on the drive train and an extra 5 years on everything else. This is for a $200 deductible fee per occurrence for the next 7 years. I also purchased the registration and updated license plates for 4 years and that was another expense. I walked away with the Modern Steel Honda Fit EX with cloth seats for $20,172.
It seems others got a better deal, but here in Southern Oregon they would not negotiate. I tried but because these cars are so limited here, they had a waiting list. I did get a coffee cup and a hat!!!
Ha! Although I wish I could have gotten a better deal, I'm still happy. I love this car... it's the first brand new car I've ever had and it's a joy to drive. PS... just wanted to add that here in Oregon there is no sales tax, and our standard registration for a passenger car is about $100 every 2 years including emission inspection. If I look at it this way... I guess it isn't a bad deal after all.

Blue EX CVT
Well I finally got it! Took a while to find a blue one and work out a deal.
EX CVT
Edmonds, WA
19204, they added door edge gaurds
18535.81 + fees& tax
18080 after the college grad discount applied to down payment.
20164.57 OTD
I went in with my Costco card and they told me it was 100 over invoice but I had to wait for the car to come in. I did some more research and came back with an offer of 18256 they were very adament about not cutting into their hold back but I got them to come down another 100 and since I couldn't find any other blue ones around that were actually in stock I took the deal. Got .9% financing too so I'll only wind up paying 195 after 3 years which is pretty good considering they give a 500 rebate. So don't forget to ask for every deal you can! Tax here is a stupid 9.8% BTW

Yeah I went to Lynwood Honda they were the only ones doing it that I could find, I worked with Rick Fonceca, he said he was getting people from all over the state calling for the Costco deal. It certainly seems like they are the only ones around from all the dealerships I've talked to.
Some dealers are actually honest and put "additional dealer profit" on a second sticker next to the Honda one rather than burying it in "fees."
Ok guys lets see if anyone can beat my price.
Got my invoice & have paid for my car.
Price of car - $0.00
CA sales tax & DMV registration - $1917.00
Total - $1917.00

Agreed to pay full MSRP for an LX manual. However, I live in NJ and am getting it from a PA dealer. NJ dealers charge about $400-$500 in doc fees while this PA dealer charges $133 and is giving me free oil changes for life. So I feel like I came out ahead compared to maybe getting $300-$400 off MSRP in NJ and paying the extra fees.
PLUS, the dealers I visited in NJ had no interest in trying to find an LX manual for me and the PA dealer called me the second one came in, so I wanted to give the salesperson my business.

For reference I was able to get my price so low but saying I would get the extended warranty. I then returned that warranty 10 days later.
Is it the most honest thing to do? no it's not.....but In this economy im going to use every tool possible.
It's not like I lied, I DID get the extended warranty....but im just going to return it thats all.
I know people will say it's pretty scummy, but it's not like the dealer isn't going to try to get the best deal for themselves.
