Also, is anyone not running dbw? What dash functions do you lose? I'm going to be making a custom intake mani for mine and would prefer cable.

Probably the .82 AR. Not 100% yet. Almost bought a supercharger today, but held off. Being that one of my best friends is Treblic, of course I got talked into going turbo haha.

Friends don't let friends go S/C .82 will be "laggy" as I am sure you know but more power/psi!

Too many people get caught up in "spool" times. It'll haul with that much turbine on a 6262! Even at 12psi!

A wise man from Texas once said "Putting a .63A/R on that turbo is like f*cking with only the very tip of your dick" when referring to that exact turbo.

Oh, I won't be stopping at 12psi. Car will most likely see 700+ whp at some point. Probably be sitting 600-650whp range for the street. Going to be trading my 6 speed for a 5 speed trans as well.

Yeah, I mean I will if I have to. I might anyway seeing as how the fit tach only goes to 8k. I just refuse to use dbw on a high hp turbo car if it's not necessary.

iam running dbw and only thing thats not working is my cruise control, but thats cuz iam using a v6 tb that has a bigger oem bore, just havent taken the time to figure out how to correct this
if you have obd 2 testing in your state, you have to use dbw to pass, if not you can use cable
that is the only reason i went with dbw is so i could pass state emission tests. if anyone needs help on how to do this i will be glad to help you out, it very easy. make sure to check with your state dmv before doing the swap to find out laws and rules. here in north carolina it checks for the vin in the ecu and set readiness codes when pluged in, if it only reads the kpro( this is when you are using cable and dont use duel ecu setup with dbw), not the fit ecu, then it see the wrong vin and see readiness codes that are not the same. you can allso check with local places that do inspections to see what is involved. i had to put a catalitic converter on when i did my exhaust so that it allso passed the visual part of the inspection. Not try to tell everyone what to do nor talk you into doing what i did, just making it known before you spend all this money and havent to redo it over.

Thanks breadman. I was pretty sure I wouldn't have any issues running cable, but I heard some people saying things didn't work.

I think most engine swap laws are the motor has to been of the same year or new then the car its going in. If you think about it my swap then is technically not legal haha

i see your from va, i got a few friends there and i think yall have obd 2 testing there, make sure to double check that, if you go with a cable tb you can not use the stock gauges cuz they wont communicaite with just kpro alone, go with a racepak or whatever your preference of digital guage. cant wait to see your swap done!

thats is true, but most places wont take the time to check the vin on the block, only the vin that in the ecu, by stay dbw and using the dual ecu setup, scan tools will read the stock ecu and tricks the computer to thinking the L15 is still there and will read the orignal vin like nothings been done, trust me i just done it a 2 months ago, i tried not to laugh to hard when a 1.5 liter showed on their screen and i have a 2.4 in the bay lol.

No we don't. At least, not in my county. It varies, but the only counties that tend to do emissions is stafford and further north. I use to be an Va inspector when I was a mechanic for Dodge.
