I removed all my ABS except for the module in the engine bay. I will do that when I do the swap. Also install a brake bias. My car has NO ABS right now. LOVE IT

My thing is, why can't the k20a2 ecu run the gauges? What is different in the rsx vs. the fit. I haven't really taken a look at the two wiring diagrams, but it doesn't make much sense.

Anyone think of running a chase bays milspec harness? I was thinking of trying to run on of them, but I'm not sure which chassis would fit best.

Picking up my id1000's/255 and a few other goodies tomorrow. Billet 6265 is unfortunately on backorder right now. 4-6 week wait. I think I've decided I'm going to go with a fullrace/treadstone vertical core intercooler. I don't really like them, and they tend to be more expensive, but I think routing the charge pipes to a precision 750 is going to be more than a PITA.

I have some more misc. stuff to order. Still looking for a decent price on a swap. Seems like kseries have gone up recently for some odd reason.

u can use RSX S ecu to power ur k swap fit....everything would work...CEPT power steering....as rsx uses ps pump and fit uses electric unit which powers off ur stock cluster and stock ecu.......
i've tried that before.......but since i need PS..we jumped it to the stock ecu.

Ordered my mounts/hybrid 70mm tb/timing chain tens./fuel rail and a few other things I'm forgetting. All I'm really needing now is kpro/iq3/swap/turbo(on backorder). Have $ for it, just can't seem to find a swap. :/

Damn it J. Your thread on HT makes me want to forget going turbo and setting the fit up for RR. I don't know where I'd go around here though.

edit: Do you still have your J's crossbar? I have the cpillar and strut bar.

Ordered my Racepak today with the cord and extension for kpro. Came out to around $1160 I think. :/ Also ordered a few eye candy pieces like the Spoon kevlar coilpack cover.

What harness are most of you using?

How the motor sits right now. Getting closer to start up but there is all sorts of small, random parts that's keeping it from happening.

Updated my first post, more pics on first page, getting closer

Questions?

Hello everyone, I have several questions I'm in the process of getting GD fit and would really like to build a K powered fit
1) would any K work? ( exp K20a2, k20z3, K24a2) I would really like a K24a2
2) Trans once again any k trans work?
3)I know that Hasport makes a bracket kit but if I understand right you still use OEM mounts is this true? and if it is can you use the Innovative fit mounts?
4)Is Hasport the only company that makes a wire harness for the conversion?
5)are the K fit axles are the same as egK axles?
6) can you use a RSX or Civic SI shift box?
7)can you use RSX shifter cables
8) is DBW TB needed?
9) can I keep a working A/C in car?
10)can you keep stock radiator and what hoses do you use
Sorry for all the noob questions I'm just really looking forward to doing this swap any help will be appreciated, I'm not planning to do some crazy stuff just want a fun daily driver that is not a thieve magnet like (Eg, Ek, Ef, Dc) thanks in advance.

1) yes any k can work... except the honda accord or element
2)RSX-S tranny will fit only
3)yes you can use the innovative mounts with the hasports
4) as far as i know yep
5) it might be not sure
6) rsx-s shifter box
7) yes
8)cable only unless you make a adapter to mount the DBW to work
9) yep you can you have to get an EP3 ac line to run AC in the car
10) yes you do, but the top radiator hose you have to get it from a GSR motor ( bottom piece) cause the fit one is to small

Thanks Zangoose, dope setup on the oil cooler, I did think up of one more question is there a company making a header for the K fit or is everyone still going custom built
