Ya I usually only ride out 3rd gear (and rarely to redline) to get some data. I wish I had my own dyno.

I don't race anyone on the street because it is dangerous as hell and I don't get on it when there are cars within sight because you never know what they'll do.

Boost is way down at the moment because I plan on selling it and anyone test driving it may decide to put their foot in it and I don't feel like being in the car with an amateur while its on kill mode.

I put a set of OE cams back in, granted the most aggressive DSM factory cams, for that reason as well. With a stock ECU, pump and injectors (450cc/min) for the time being. Redline is only at 7100rpm at the moment. The car will still run 12.x @100+ though haha

We need to get some pulls done, I got a new video camera and now I just need batteries and a SD card. I was going to call you on the way home yesterday but it was a long week, working 6 days a week is taking a toll on me.

Will do. I didn't want to be a pest. My schedule is easy 12 hours a day working and some weekends when the week was slow. Every one wants the summer off and the winter is always slow. Dont know how the de rating of the credit is going to hurt business but it dont look good.

SO been a while since the update and been all over the place but today I decided it was time to pull the power steering rack and replace it with the manual rack so I could delete the PS pump and reservoir in anticipation of a fender dumped 4" exhaust. So once more I have pulled the engine/trans out of the new car lol:

The manual rack (right) is lighter and smaller, in addition to being less complex and one less fluid system to fail and get on the tires to cause an accident!

My garage is madness right now because I am trying to setup a garage sale.

DSM, Your garage is set up like mine. We have painted cars, built motors and store a few vehicles. Its large enough for a stretch limo if you angle it.

I have to figure a fix for the turbo oil return line to see if the motor is OK. Its burns oil and I think its the oil return line sits in the oil because the pan is to small. That car runs great other wise and has only a few hours on it. The speed shop fixed the MAP sensor and it runs great.

So big update... after lots of contemplation I am selling my 59mm turbo to step up to a 66mm turbo.

Also going to a T3 setup with the wastegate off the manifold, the way I should have the first time..

Sorry I never called but I lost my satellite service for 11 days when a wild fire swept through on Labor Day... We had to evacuate for a few hours but didn't get any damage here... Right now I am needing to buy an AWD tractor to be able to keep fire lanes cut around my little compound.

I ran into a kid with a red 1990 Eclipse in town Saturday night.. He had done quite a bit to it and easily pulled away from me. I thought I was going to be able to get some work done since the heat had dropped a bit but it was over 100 yesterday and at 106 today.. I must admit that I am wanting a DSM car after seeing how strong the one I saw would run.. There was a very hot S/C Mustang there that was almost visually reverberating at idle.. There were a few rich kids with pretty cars that were also fast...The guys that built and tuned their cars they had also foot the bill on were the ones I got along with the best..

I can't believe the heat TX has had this year. Two months of 100+.

Speakin of DSMs.. since I can't seem to leave well enough alone:

Skipping the T3 frame turbo and going to straight to T4, because I know it won't be enough for my boost addiction.

Already in the mail:

Generic big ass Garrett T4 P-Trim turbo with V-band turbine discharge for the interim while I save up for an S372:

Open T4 tube manifold with HKS style 44mm external wastegate:

Update time!

Time for a real intake manifold:

JMF Drag Manifold

Twinscroll T4 Holset HX52 with V-Band discharge and two 38mm V-Band wastegates:

More to come!

Also: Anyone in need of a 35mm Turbonetics WG or a 40mm HKS gate?

Garrett 60mm P-Trim T4- V-Band turbo?

Your garage isn't all that bad... Don't feel bad about not being obsessive compulsive. What you really need is an engine stand unless enjoy back pain and sciatica..... The engine looks very angry and hungry to suck the doors off of a big block V8.
