A little more forward motion today while we sort some other things out for the return lines on the surge tank and the main tank:

So far the plan is to run the return system from the rail to the regulator, from the regulator to the surge tank and then an over-flow line from the surge tank back to the main tank.

Curious to see whether or not I need to get a bigger regulator to keep pressure in check with this monstrous Magnafuel pump and -10AN lines coming off the surge tank!

I'm liking what I see here.

First time I've seen a gauge inside the engine bay - I assume that's for monitoring boost or fuel pressure? Just curious, educate me a little :)

Appreciate the kind words guys.

That is the fuel pressure gauge, mounted on an Aeromotive Adjustable Regulator on the return side of the fuel system.

It's for sanity check and diagnostic purposes. There will also be a cylinder-head oil pressure gauge in the engine bay tapped into the Hydraulic Lash Adjuster Galley on the exhaust side..

Boost, Turbo Oil Pressure, Oil Filter Housing Pressure, Turbine Drive Pressure, Oxygen sensor, Oil Temp, Coolant Temp, Intake Air Temp, Exhaust Temp, Fuel Pump Voltage, Alternator Voltage, Transmission Temperature, etc. will all be monitored via lap-top.

Only the OFH Pressure, Boost pressure, Oxygen Sensor, Vehicle Speed, Engine RPM, Pump Voltage and Knock Retard will have any dummy lights/gauges mounted in the cabin.

You're gonna get one vote for each wheel - I fancy the Sport Lite the most. Only if it isn't ridiculously heavy, though

Yep you did, thanks!

Interesting choice of parameters to keep track of using gauges/idiot lights aboard the car. Anyway keep us posted on the build of this monster :)

So it looks like due to space constraints we will be going out the hood with the exhaust, still have not decided where the two wastegate dump-tubes will be routed:

DSM, it might be better to go through the fender. This keeps the pipe straight while keeping the backfires away from the car if it happens.

Hey Glen,

No real choice on this one, among other things that are hard to spot out right.. there is a cable bundle and some really nasty angles that would have to be taken.. additionally a smaller diameter pipe would be needed and the 4.5" is already smaller than I had in mind lol

Back fires are less worrisome than if I overspeed the turbo, brake the shaft and launch a quarter pound hunk of inconel steel spinning at ~115000rpm off into the crowd haha But I'm having NHRA style cross-bolts put into the downpipe to contain any turbine wheels trying to go for a walk..

Besides that I think both wastegates may end up exiting out the hood as well, so there will be constant open flame any time I roll into boost and crack the valves open to dust things off

Got your PM, a bit backed up at the moment!

And look what came in the mail:

I see the wires that I did not see before. It would have been nice to go through the fenders but its at the corner of the hood so it should not interfere with you driving too much as long as you keep your arm inside the window.

Looks like electrical will be in before the month is over so start up is not too far behind. Did you fab the rollbar yet? I might of missed that.

Roll-cage is going to be pricey.. like more than I paid for the car pricey, so that may be a year from now and I'll sand-bag it at the quarter mile tracks if I am trapping more than 135 before then.

Slowly going to turn up the wick, there's more turbo and fuel on this car than I think this particular motor can handle and the other two are not done yet haha Should be enough power to trap 160s at this weight when all is said and done.

ETs will be garbage with the long-distance minded suspension and gearing.
