The Honda Fit/K20 Specific "Swap Header" by Hasport, is not out as of yet, and as you all know I had the unveiling at ImportFest 2007 Toronto This Saturday Nov. 17th 2007 .....
So what was I to do!!!......
Make my own.... VERY restrictive, VERY NOT PERMANENT!!
Just Temporary to get me to the show.
Here are the pics of the header.
(The Header S-Curve......VERY VERY RESTRICTIVE!!!)
(What the Header needed to bolt up to was the down pipe/Cat, Had to re-position the flange and use stock FIT 40mm piping)
With enough weld on the header, it is still not perfect and there is a leak as well. But the Car drove over 1000 miles round trip to Toronto Canada!
From driving the Fit on the Hasport Mount bracket Relocation kit (for use with stock Fit MOunts), turning right from a stock 3/4 - 1.0 full turn, while accelerating harder than normal the engine taps the subframe. I am thinking about ordering the Innovative Stock replacements. But I am waiting for the 5sp M/T R&D to be completed.
I would recommend getting some sort of stock replacement mounts for the Fit with the Hasport Mount Brackets. Hasport is developing soc replacements. TBA.
Header will be out for the public in a couple of months!
Brian From Hasport told me to fill in the mounts with Windshield adhesive, that should stiffen them up for now until the stock replacements are available. AND the Prototype HEader is IN THE MAIL!!!!!
In the meantime, I took my first Video!
The clutch is just broken in nice, and I'm still affraid to dump the clutch or shift hard, AND it's still on the SHITTY Restrictive Welded Header, so it's a teaser vid! Enjoy!
The Check engine light is on because the fit computer is looking for the DBW Pedal and motorized assisted TB. As you know I'm using cable throttle. When I plug in the DBW pedal and TB, the light goes out. I need to do that when I have to run the car for a plug in Inspection. But other than that I will prob pull the bulb. THe Fit Cluster Ck Eng. Light is for reading the Fit ECU only.
I have a seperate LED for the Kpro CK Eng. Lit.
My friend offered me his base RSX engine that he swapped out for a K24A to put into my Fit, but now that I've read more into the swap and read through your log, I'm going to have to pass. I don't have nearly the guts to do what you've done =)
