I never did anything about it. I only ever thought about it when doing oil changes.

Yeah. I found these like a month a go and got my set too. Nice little detail to have and brighten the "sporty feel". They function and great. The quality is 10/10 for the price.

Pinalloy Paddle Shifter, GE8, GE9, GP1, GP4

Pinalloy – They ship world wide.

Spent yesterday detailing my RS bumpers for the paint. Hopefully by the end of the next week I should have all parts painted.

Still haven't decided if I'll paint the RS grill and the lower grill/fog covers/DRL-light covers to GLOSS Black!?!
They would have the same look as our Euro-spec Civic.

I think that would look pretty good with red Honda emblem. What do you think?

Oh, the other pictures is just a metal wire for grounding of the exhaust to the body.
in some older cars, it act to reduce interference to the radio...
the theory say, the fast moving gas inside the exhaust pipe create static electricity,
and since the exhaust pipe have gasket and hang by rubber hanger (polyurethane hanger in my case), it become isolated from ground...

anyway, I notice that we got electrocuted by my car more after I modify my down pipe and exhaust system by static electricity when we just get out of our car, so I thought (and hope) this ground wire will help reduce that hahaha... my son and wife afraid to touch the car after we get out that they want me to be the one who got electrocuted by the static electricity each time hahaha

Backup camera and removed rear wiper

I've never really used my rear wiper, so I decided to remove it. Pretty easy job.

Without the wiper, I no longer needed the wiper fluid sprayer.

So I purchased a Garmin backup camera (BC20) that connects via wifi to my Garmin Nuvi. I installed it in the hole where the washer fluid sprayer was under the rear spoiler (got the idea from someone on the True Fit Crew fb page).

Great install...I did have to spend some time positioning the camera because the spoiler does block a bit of the top of the frame. But other than that, it works great and the high angle really is a great vantage point.

Fun stuff!

Lisa

Ps. When I say "I installed", I mean "I asked my hubby to install"!!

Changed out the Headlight Armor overlays on the fog lights. The old ones were 3 yrs old and have sacrificed themselves to protect the delicate glass that they covered.... Went back to clear this time - the GT yellow wasn't working for me anymore.

About to order some new tires. Either going to be 195/55/15 or 205/55/55. I like the meaty look of the 205/55, but really deoends on which i find cheapest.

I NEED tires bad, as the ones on the wheels i have a all dry rotted.

I bet they could be, but I imagine it won't be a simple plug n' play.

Connor I thought you had a manual??

I think you would need to have the 5spd AT & ECU from a Fit Sport. The paddles actuate the five shift solenoids through the ECU on the 5spd AT in sequence when you pull on the paddles.

I'm not sure if the trans itself is required or not. There was a discussion somewhere going on about it, but no one has tried it yet. I think for it to work properly you'd need:

- USDM or other paddle shifted sport gauge cluster
- Paddles
- ECU from aforementioned vehicle
- Shifter bezel (since regular Fit autos have PRND321 and Sports have PRNDS, I believe it also keep you from putting the car in 2 or 1, since you can keep whichever gear you want with the paddles)

All this is speculation, though. If I could get a wrecked US Fit Sport, I would try it, but you'd really have to get it for dirt cheap to make it worth the time/money. For me, I'd have to get the whole car for under $1000 to try it, unless it was a really good example with a rear end hit or something.

No its auto, doesnt even have the paddles.

Yeah scott youre probably right, maybe it doesnt need an ecu swap. I bet just the cluster, the steering wheel and the shifter. The actual transmission is probably exactly the same. But not worth it unless i find a junkyard fit. But even then, i dont want a usdm cluster with miles on it lol.

I almost wonder if you could just get away with the piece of the cluster with the gear indicator and Fuel gauge on it. That would be all you'd need the cluster for. I've never seem one pulled, so I don't know if it's all one piece or not.

Tiny updates, a few days late

So a few days late, but installed the low mount stays for the J's GT wing on Thursday when the weather cleared up.

Comparison of the low mount stay (left) and normal stay (right).

Night shot of the J's wing with the normal stay.

With the low mount stay installed. It really is a big difference, though I can't rake the wing really and I can see how J's states they see 10km/h improvement on Fuji's main straight with the low mount stays compared to stock.

Also I ordered a Honda Access Ti knob listed for the S660, polished Ti and looks very similar to a DC2R knob.

The S660 Ti knob.

Got knobs?! From upper left clockwise, Honda Access S660, Honda Access S2000/DC5R and J's Racing.

Again, but slightly different, first 2 are Honda Access knobs for the S2000/DC5R that I heated myself to sort of rainbow and the other to more of a solid dark. The other 2 are J's knobs.

The S660 knob installed into #slowbeast.
