BMW ALPINA, those look sweet. I bet they sound awesome! I can’t wait to be finished with the engine in my Fit so I can start working on interior.

Thanks Jonnyss
my audio project still have long way to go though,
hopefully I can finish it by early next year...

by the way, few days ago I got a tips from one of fellow fitfreak member regarding our Sprintex Supercharger and it's tendency to lose it's oil due to something not perfect with the design (check Jon Bond Performance Facebook where he wrote about it back in August)...

so I decide to check the oil inside my Sprintex Supercharger after 15 months of use and about 20,000 miles and it is kinda low (not that bad though),
so make sure you check your oil often, the manual even say to check every week and before long journey...
so I am going to check it every month (at minimum) from now on...

I remember you just install your Sprintex Supercharger right?
and have you install the Water Methanol Injection system?
if yes, could you please write a thread about your journey?
I want to learn from you for the Water Methanol Injection System.
Thanks

BMW ALPINA, thanks for the tip on the oil in the Sprintex; I read that as well. I change mine every time I change the oil in the car since it’s pretty easy to do .

I am currently working on building an accessory panel for the methanol injection system. I want everything to be in the engine bay. Pretty sure I can fit it all where the original factory air box was. I’ll be sure to take pics as I get closer.

I’ll be installing the 70mm pulley as well when the meth system goes in.

Hi Jonnyss,

if I am not mistaken, you are using K-Tuner right and Speed Density tuning?
then my guess is you must be using the Factory Honda Fit MAP sensor
that see the real boost created by Sprintex supercharger right?

At this moment, my Defi boost gauge show max boost about 10psi with stock pulley,
so if you go with smaller pulley,
I think it will go past the measuring range of the Honda Fit Factory MAP sensor...
and you might get OBD code/limp mode...
and please correct me if I am wrong,
but do K-Tuner already able to work with after market MAP sensor with higher pressure range?

if not, I don't think you can install smaller pulley for now...
at least not with speed density tuning where the MAP sensor see the boost...... I think....

Wrapped my 'new' wheels in some rubber last week; got the roof wrapped this week; will put the wheels and spoiler on and the car will be good for a while.

Hey BMW ALPINA,

Correct, I wont be able to install the pulley until custom map sensor support is added. I have been assured though that the feature is in the Que.

My Ktuner V2 currently shows 9.4 PSI at 7k RPM.

I did a full port and polish on the sprintex plenum and manifold yesterday. I'm so glad to finally have that restrictor out of there.

Hello jonnyss,
If possible, also enlarge the throttle body with MaxBore (plus gasket match with Intake Elbow from Sprintex with MaxBore),
and use Down Pipe (remove first cat) and then change to 2.25 in exhaust with High Flow Second Cat, you will get around 10psi without changing pulley

Window tinting!

Happy Sunday!
I just got my car tinted and was wondering if they forgot to put some interior molding back on the rear hatch.

Does anyone know if there is suppose to be rubber molding between the metal and glass window of the rear hatch?

Hey perkidddoh,

That's exactly how mine looks. I had never payed much attention to it but after looking at the inside of the hatch it does look like its missing a piece of molding.

Thanks Johnny for confirming, good to hear, otherwise this would have been another issue. I just have the worst luck with this tinting place, first they misplaced my key and found it in a client's car who already left the shop. And now my window is squeaking everytime I put my passenger side window down and on top of that, it has bubbles from debris during the installation. Now I might have to take it back! WTH!!

If I paid for a tint job and it had air or debris underneath, I would certainly asked for it to be reworked.

Put the winter tires on this weekend. New rims and tires this year.

Tires are Toyo GSi-5 195-50-15 on Acura 1.7 EL (2001-2005) rims with Honda center caps.

Love the look (for winter tires at least)!

I installed LED headlight bulbs. They look very nice. I will be testing them out in the dark tonight.
